Ah, the end of the day...& I was glad to see you working on your fabric house. This video is so homey and restful...just what I needed! It is as if I am sitting beside you listening to your soothing voice and instructions & stories. Love the colors in this house.
Oh my so pretty. My mom passed the beginning of the year and I got five cases of embroidery threads. A lot are vintage. But as I use them I feel her presence with me
So happy you’re keeping us up-to-date on your stitching. I love the roof scallops and think I’ll steal that for my roof too...I hope you don’t mind. I’ve only gotten as far as cutting out my pieces, so now it’s time to begin embellishing. It’s so interesting to me (and enviable) to see how confident you are with a needle - it’s like second nature with you. I’ve watched Melanie stitch too, and she has that same confidence. Cheers Rachel!
Too funny about the electrocuted tomatoe ! 😂 I love the stitching, I’ve been stitching and embroidering since I was around 4 years old. My mom and grandma always had a stitching project going and they were a big influence on me. I still love doing it all these years later. I love how your project is turning out, thank you for sharing. ✨❤️✨
It's coming along so nicely...lovely indeed! Hilarious story about the tomato and you! Steph can seem to layer anything...hahahaha....clever and silly...good combo . thanks for sharing .
Hi Rachel. I’ve recently discovered your channel and have been back watching episodes. Everyone is a joy to watch and listen too. The more I hear, the more you reveal connections that I totally relate to. Sometimes it’s like listening to my own internal monologue 🤣. Keep going xxx
Oh my goodness your story about your red face and the tomato...😂🤣. You are so funny and such a good sport. Love your hand stitching. The ideas for the windows sounds perfect. Tfs and inspiring as you always do. 💞🇨🇦🤗💕
All the fabric crafts and the stitching is new to me but I've started to watch some things and now I want to do it all! But I don't have time to learn new things when I already have so much junk journaling to do 🙈 I don't know how you do it all!
It’s funny the things our kids say to us. The other day I had to drive my sons car and he has an actual racing car seat in the drivers seat... it is impossible to look like a normal person getting in and out. Truly would be easier to crawl out the window like the race car drivers do. Any way. I guess it’s important to say I’m not way over weigh or anything. I like most of us could lose a few pounds but it not a BIG problem. Anyway my daughter was laughing so hard she was crying at me trying to get out of this damn seat. So she finally calmed down enough to tell me I looked like one of the people on my 600 pound life struggling to get up. I am still not sure if I’m insulted or am able to laugh with her but now I feel like a diet is in order too!
😂😂😂 Electrified tomato❣️ I think Stefie got back at you for not having your phone on when he was shopping for you, by making you a Roma tomato. Love hearing your stories. ❤️
Isn't it just delish that we don't have to dress to do our videos???? Some of my outfits would be quite the conversation starter... at least. Huge, Carol xo
Your stitching is lovely - no surprise because everything you do is so creative. Do you have a preference - stitching or making journals? With your talent, it would be difficult to choose I guess.
So pretty and creative Rachel. I love how you have laid everything out. You are so talented. PS - Will you show me how you add the beads as you stitch? Thank you
You are so meditative to watch. I enjoy watching you while you softly explain your thought process. Now I have yet another project to try. I am taking a course from Orly Averini: Passport to Journal. It's quite different from anything I've done before but so fascinating. Check her out if you haven't heard of her.
@@roxycreations679 thanks for the tips. I was thinking markets aswell. But antique ones are a bit harder to find around here. I'm from the Netherlands.
So are those pieces that you are appliqueing on to the block interfaced or have folded over edges or just raw edges? It's been quite a while since I did any of this type of sewing, so I have forgotten just how it's all done. TFS the inspiration, Rachel! Went over and purchased the pattern.

Possibly red stitch at tops of scallops ?
I red stitched here and there and am quite pleased with it.
Hi are you awake over there. Evening here, just had a bit of rain after hot day. Nice. I love redwork embroidery as well.
@@lisajmascord8183 Yes it's 11 am, lovely sunny 9°C day!
Do you have any tips on how to start a fabric collection? I could probably buy sets of scraps on Etsy?
I would search on Etsy to see what you can find. When it's possible you could search antique/flea amrkets etc.

They don't have any interfacing and are just raw edges. Thank you so much!
