Are you sure you're thinking of the right girl? You mention the smiling girl so I assume you mean Kim Jiwon of Good Day, but she hasn't been in the top 9 at all yet, while Spica's Park Jiwon is the one who's been in the top 9 consistently.
But she was crying out of concern for her teammate that she saw work hard but was close to being eliminated. It's not like the other members didn't benefit from her appearance in the end group performance.
