I knew you cut your own hair didn’t know you used to be a barber. You transformed that young man. I’m teaching a summer enrichment program for the “at risk” students to prepare them for college. Keeping it a buck these students only allowed in this school for tax credits. I been showing them some of your videos. Thanks for helping me educate these young people. However, a fight almost broke out in class and I almost lost it on them. What advice would you give these young people to be successful their first year in college?
I’d say the biggest thing is to be open to all the experiences. Understand that college is a journey and it will bring u a lot of different experiences, people, and emotions. If you stay positive and open, good things will happen. And most importantly, remember you are the captain of your ship. No one else. You make the experiences, the experiences don’t make you.
