Mike & The Ole Man, Great video on the function of the radial drill. Not many channels feature them so your info while using it on an actual job was needed content. You are doing very well on your productions. Good lighting, good, clear audio and of course, sharing your knowledge based on years of experience. Makes me wish I had the years left to start a new job career but at my age I’ll have to be satisfied with my little hobby endeavors.
Thanks for watching. We got the drill for next to nothing. We actually went to get one machine and the drill came home with us to. Its been a nice addition to the shop. Its not used that often but when we need it comes in handy Mike
Handy machine indeed. The oil cup is as equally handy. I've seen similar type spill proof cup in the past but never bought one. Now after knocking this one over several times and not cleaning up an oil mess I should have gotten one way before now. Mike
Mamco Machining yes looks like I spoiled you. Those are simple to make of you have children’s paint cups. Actually I have several more made up for gifts.
At my old place of employment we had two large radial drill press's..they are impressive machines if you need to drill large holes in heavy metal, I would love to have one in my shop but i'm out of room..good video !!
How can the vise clamp that c channel? It looks tapered, as if it will pop straight up! Also, have you tried an xy table for that radial drill arm? Too rickety?
The channel is a bit tapered but the vise clamps it just fine. I haven't had any issues with it trying to pop out. I haven't tried an xy table on the drill. I can usually get things setup pretty fast just moving the vise and head then set some stops. Most of the things we work on in the drill are either heavy, long or just awkward. We don't currently have a good heavy xy table. Maybe if I can get one in the future we will give it a shot. Thanks for continuing to follow along and watch our videos. Mike

That is a great machine to have and a perfect size for smaller shop. Thanks for sharing, I want one!

I also have a radial arm drill press. About the same size as yours. I love it!! Way cool that you guys have one as well!!!
Great work and videos keep it up
Thanks for the demonstration. A very handy drill.
Thanks for watching
Cool bit of kit. Nice to see someone except me using spotting drills.
Dave Mason Hey, Dave, I use them all the time on the mill. Very necessary for precision work.
We use them often as well. Nothing worse than a hole being off because of drill bit drift
Mike
great job, love to see more video's on the radial drill
Those are handy machines for large hole drilling. Glad you like the oil cup

Really enjoying your videos! Keep up the good work! 👍
Thanks for the radial arm video, it would be cool to see how the taping function works.
Next time we tap in it I will try to get some video.
Thanks for watching
Mike
I need to get a 8 inch or 6 inch mill vice for mine like what you guys have!
Good video
Thank You

@@MamcoMachining Thanks! Not working in a shop myself, I appreciate you ending with the audience to answer questions :-)
Who is this guy - has his dad taken over the channel - Mike started this and he shoudl be the front man.
