Okay i gotta say it, Legion units and buildings look amazing. Long ago when the first iterations rolled out I was skeptical but my god did the artists work on those.
Decaying structures slowly return 100% of their metal cost to you as they decay. You don't need to reclaim them. So you can use partially-built structures as a temporary storage. They don't return any energy, though. But if they take damage then that reduces the metal you get back.
"what a stressful match to watch" Oh you don't say? :) Entire Tier-3 armies dying repeatedly to a couple of drones, no anti-air in sight. *sighs* Also, those yellow riot tanks? The seem a tad bit OP, melting down Shivas, and about anything else for that matter, like butter. As always, love your commentary. :)
T3 Riot tanks are defo no more OP as T1 Riot tanks (Pounders) compared to other T1s. I would be instead surprised if the balance failed and Shivas, each half cost of a tank, which are not only measily bots, but are also amphibious, would've beaten a slower, ground-only, LLT-ranged tank with their own well-ranged splash cannons face-to-face. The better counter to T3s is obviously something that's meant to deal damage to single targets, such as Razorbacks and Karganeth, which are too, faster than it. In current vanilla version, Keres suck with that puny explosion from their cannon and such low DPS, compared to unofficial balance branch in the video. The drones though are really, really durable, not even a dedicated AA can bestow them just as easily as it would gunships of the same relative cost, especially the T2 drones from that Geo!
You have to consider the resources used to build the tanks compared to the "bot" Shivas that are quite cheap. I am very new at this game, but have been pleasantly surprised how the game balances out troops. There is usually some counter to everything, but knowing that counter is the difference between OS levels as well as success.
While some may be curious how Cyan's com died in a puddle by dozen beige pawns the same moment as Blue com, or how purple's Fatboy behind the hill scared red's hovers off, I'd just like to point out purple's Spy Bot hiding entire game in the middle of the dam only revealed by 37:23 when con will try to build aconverters on top of it, and of course a forgotten Shiva in the corner at 48:45 having plenty health to missile the con turrets.
Yellow didn't do much of anything early on, but came good at the end with all those tanks. Red and orange threw away some golden opportunities there, this game should've ended much sooner.
@@AmosDohms especially after the buff introduced with b64 so that it isn't such a sucky T3 in every way worse than Shiva besides being able to slowly swat those Wasps away. at 22:00 I think it would have been pretty much game over if red just attacked with those hovercraft. Even the LLTs he's facing have no power to fire with. Not sure why he moved them, the long way, to the total opposite end of the map, then parked them there for 5 minutes, just to run them straight in to T2 tanks.

Upside down triangle is the symbol for gunships, which is why the advanced geothermal has it. As for legion, I really like some of the units like the shotgun thing and the heat ray T2 bomber. But I really dislike the ones that are just 'cortex units but good'. The medusa is just a banisher if banisher was accurate and actually had good burst damage. The Barely mobile bot is just a mammoth with more vision and damage for barely any extra cost. Even the new Geothermal is like a cerb but better because it also jams and anti-nukes itself, and produces more E.
Banisher's main advertised strength is it's almost instantenous damage delivery as that of sharpshooter, but also capable of AA and reasonably mobile. The jammer antinuke geo is the same comparison as t2 antinuke radar sonar energy generator ship that moves and that almost has the same efficiency (generated energy per cost) as a fusion reactor, even without any AN and radar and sonar buildings beside it. Incinerator pays for it by being dangerous to own team and having far less hp.
I was rooting for the Blue Team... Read team could have won the game so early after breaking through the bridge and later red could have won it time and time over through the water. The Idleness of it was killing me

Definitely a bug with the drone vehicle. Have tried fight command versus not and its hit or miss also. The drone structures seem to work fine though. Hoping they get this fixed soon. Could see them maybe being good against t1 spam if positioned correctly.
I don't think you were toxic, just understandably upset with purple, who didn't do much of anything all game. Considering you thought the game was over pretty early on, I think you did pretty well. Certainly messed up less then orange and red.
I wish legion had a t2 plasma bot. I love legion and there bots are good, but i feel there all support units and lack the main mid range damage unit like a hound or Sheldon. Phanlax are to slow, and range is to short to be your main backbone. All their units have a use but where is the mass plasma bot unit at? The units not finished are the amphibious and rocket bot. Maby one of them are a 3rd bot.... Am i wrong?
You're correct, Sheldon in this particular match was given a small passive explosion radius (~250dmg each) to make mindless spam of the same highly universal unit type in one crammy space more risky. The stuff like Hounds and Tigers and Bulls weren't touched at all yet, instead less useful entities are buffed first in this variety-targeted unofficial balance pack. But I can foresee slowing down the "heavy plasma"' mode's projectile, to induce bigger window for players to use Hound's second weapon mode, as for example.
