    I love to see how far you’ve come with your skills and integrating techniques for making consistent and accurate repeatability with use of the router jig. I would love to see a video on how you constructed it and how you calculate the exact dimensions, weight, and balance of your cues. They are absolutely beautiful.

    Would be really awesome to inlay or even artist signature your name under the finish. I know these are custom orders but an artist should always sign his works of art.

    • @badbatch974
      @badbatch974 4 года назад +1

      Jonathan england, I was thinking the same thing. He really needs to etch or inlay his logo under the finish on the end cap, like you see large brand name cue manufacturers do. Even numbering or adding “built for ----“ with the customers name for an additional fee. Just like they do when you have a surfboard built. I would love to have one of these custom, one off cues with my name and JPayne written on it.

      @@badbatch974 I don't think a player would want that on their cue, especially if they're paying a lot for it. Sure a logo could go on a butt cap or ring perhaps if it isn't so conspicuous and looks nice. This guys does really nice work it would seem though.

    Where did you get the rubber bumpers and what is the weight of these? How difficult would it be to add an adjustable weight bolt system? I would like to start making these as well and doing my research. The CA glue you use for the finish, is it the one with the rubber additive in it or no need?

    Fantastic videos bud! And thanks for sharing, it’s quite inspiring. How heavy are the sticks or what do they tend to feel like. My gut says a 21. I like a 21 but one that can still produce a good amount of snap or draw which you usually get from 19’s. I’ve only used a few that felt like the best of both worlds. I tend to like the accuracy of the heavier sticks. Anyway yeah just wondering what it feels like I guess is what I’m asking? Regardless of atrial weight.
    Oh... and can I have one!! 😃? Haha.
    No but really... ;)
    I’m Kidding, I know that was an ungodly amount of work! (Again fantastic job!)
    Someone stole all of my cues (oh well I’ll survive) but also favorite stick (WHAT!, ok didn’t want to survive! Lol), I can’t even remember the brand it was handed down and really expensive. Lucastic lacusi Lucasi? (I remember it reminding me of George Lucas and Kinda habdba starwasr look like. I didn’t even want to look it up it’ll make me sick. They stole a old handed down shotgun, tricked out Ruger .22 rifle, and ALL of my photos!!! (for some screwed up reason), were stolen from a storage after a move a few years back. So I honestly kinda quit playing. I was so bummed and also stressed about other stuff too, that and I broke my hand (very badly).
    B anyway sob story aside lol, Recently after I’ve now fully healed my hand Have been tossing the idea around again, and remembered your video with a red pigmented walnut one you made awhile back! and thought about possibly making one? Do you think I could pull it off it in anyyyy way possible without a lathe? (Unlikely I’m guessing? I definitely got. Have the funds to buy a good one and am not sure I could ever go back to a crap cue after using that fancy pants one. I’m getting angry all over again! Lol. And my photos m! Come on??? Why? A**holes! (And there were some, let’s say very ‘private’ photos of my ex and I 😐. They were in my storage for like 26 hrs apparently. They used mine to break into several other peoples and mine was kinda their headquarters to go into and steal from I think 6 units! Oh and just destroy stuff for fun too. Why not already stood from them might as well smash their guitar and tv for the heck of it right? Anyway Sorry everyone, angry rant over! Lol. and NO IDEA why I’m sharing this to the world lol. I guess it’s kinda therapeutic to get it off my chest.
    So now that’s that’s ok done haha, do you think this might be something I could do with just the normal conventual tools one would have. Drills saw orbital sander. I don’t mind the work I just want to get a pool stick that would function like a cue more expensive than i spent on it. My budget was probably $60-$100.
    Thanks in advance for any and all comments and thanks for the videos. Keep me up we all appreciate at them loads!
    Sorry about the whining small novel guys ;)
    Have a great a day everyone!
    Cheers

    I use similar techniques to attempt to make pool cues from hand and I've had some limited success.. Kinda want all the nice tools but they're pricey. I've been fairly successful tapering by hand.. maybe thats just luck tho.
