  • A Horse packing adventure in the High Wyoming Wind River Mountains in the Bridger Wilderness area. The horseback adventure starts at the New Fork Lake trail head and heads up the New Fork Lake trail to Lozier Lake, Clark Lake, Vista Pass and many more lakes. Fishing for cutthroat trout as we go. Exploring country above tree line, unbelievable views of mountain peaks like Granite Peak, the highest peak in Wyoming and just enjoying the Wind River Range High Country on horseback.

Great video and pack trip. Thanks for sharing.
I had my headphones on when the first boom of thunder hit, I levitated off my chair!
I've been caught a time or two up in those high granite passes when a storm comes out of the blue.
A rule of thumb for me is get where your going no later than 3. Preferably 2.
That weather is just real regular in the high country.
    Thanks again.
    Happy Trails.

We really enjoy all of your videos, thank you... I did back to back 6 day pack trips out of Turpin Meadows for the Crescent H Ranch Wilson, WY a long time ago. That along with cowboying on big cow outfits were the happiest days of my life. My wife and I are moving to Cody country shortly and outfitting ourselves to go back to our passion, pack trips! Maybe we will see you in the back country sometime. Living and keeping the old west alive...

Looks like a beautiful trip even with the weather. Saw a lotta places I'd like to wander and tramp. Would love a base camp type outing in that area.
Thanks for your efforts and sharing this. Many more great journeys to you and yours. d:^)

I really liked this video but I was wondering if the stock was yours or if they were provided by the outfitter or how that all worked?

This trip was put together at the last minute. I did not have time to trailer my horses to the Pinedale area. The outfitter suppled all the stock which he does normally.

@@rogercain5837 That makes sense. I am just used to seeing more horses and less mules in your videos so I wondered what had transpired. I have been back in that area before and it is really pretty, also really rocky. I really enjoy watching your videos, especially while we are all iced in and I can't ride like right now.

It would've been better to see an actual video of the trail on horses than pictures.

It’s very hard to take video on horseback with a pack horse along. All your hands are occupied. But l am trying to add a lot more video in the future.
