Shattered dimension had limited web swinging but its set pieces bring it up a LOT. Also being able to speed swing by holding A made it feel good. Solid for someone who has never had a PS4
Good list but i do think Spiderman 2002 swinging should get more credit, they added the infinite swinging, more control with turning, lateral movement, aerial combat, swing kicks, holding the button down to boost but losing mobility, etc. They really added a lot to make the goblin aerial fights feel better
Man. Brings me back to Spider-Man 2 and swinging in circles around a pole then come to find out the web got shorter till I couldn’t swing anymore. I’ve grown away from Spider-Man a bit but finding out that the web was a tangible object that could be cut short was wild as hell to me
My 2 big problems with insomniac spider-man is that you dont have a control if you hold R2 and joystick that you move with then spider-man can swing o cross whole map and second problem is that you can't touch the ground when you swing even in spider-man 2 you can touch the ground when you swing and when you want to do circle when you swing like in end of the raimi spider-man 1 when he do that just why can't it do in insomniacs spiderman a hope that this problem won't be in spider-man 2.
For the Spider-Man 3, I played it on the Wii so there was motion-controls. 7 year me was super excited. Although, the city feels so empty. There's nothing going on other than endless crowds that disappear the closer you get to them. It just feels like endless grey blocks with painted on windows.
I remember playing Amazing Spiderman 1, and thinking "Really, we're still doing this cloud swinging style in an open world Spiderman?" 13:07 was insane. The hell? Spiderman 2 (ps2) is the best imo, but that's after several hundreds of hours playing it as a kid.
Anyone else here love web swinging so much that whenever they bring it back to fortnite, that's all you do?Not even loot, get kills, or aim for the win, but just swing around pretending to be Spiderman while wearing a Spiderman skin
Honestly, the first insomniac spider-man is probably fourth on my list. It's just kind of stiff, and momentum is too slow. You can jump from the tallest building in the world and get no real boost. You don't get thrown further, but you do get the 70mph max swinging speed. It just feels weird jumping from a tall building, shooting a web before hitting the ground, and then it just turning into just a regular web swing. It should launch you further.
The amazing spider man game can actually he salvaged the concept is not that bad it just needs some work. . . Okay. Alot of work. But i see the concept being a fun idea its new and unique and the visuals could be used so much. Lets see if someone makes a game thats better and inspired by this style of web slinging
Pretty sure the easy mode makes you release your first web to shoot another. Where at normal allows you to wing from one arm then shoot from the other hand while still holding the first web. It makes if so you never hag to jump when web swing if you get skilled enough. But it's very hard to master due to the momentum and physics mechanics. I be if you played more and in normal next you'd start to love it even more. Especially when intergrating wall jumps and runs and sling shots effortlessly the perfect way you need when you begin to get to know the city. It feels just as rewarding as Marvel's Spider-Man. Maybe more so because you actually are making every single move happen purposesly
As a person that still plays Spiderman 3 for fun and like the game as a whole, It's actually good to me, It kind of depends on the person. As for the size, I didn't care at all
Im gonna be honest when i saw avengers spiderman i thought it was somthing someone made in Playstation's dream. I also really enjoyed the amazing spiderman when i was a kid
Spider-Man 2 has the coolest wallrun in videogames. For that alone it deserves to be way up there. The way the charged jump can be stored to be instantly expended at all times is way sicker than how in PS4 you gotta run across a plane of entirely flat ground for 3 seconds (cuz if Peter comes near a shitty parcourable object, he WILL hop onto it and reset the charge) And I just hate how ever since Amazing Spider-Man 1, every spidey game automatically wallruns for you when you approach one, instead of giving you the choice to attach or not. And how wallrun speeds are so hardcoded now, whereas in 2 it was entirely dependent on your momentum. I will agree with you that Spider-Man 2 swinging's physics stuff can come at a detriment sometimes, mostly when janky shit happens near ground height or whatever, but I firmly believe that there's still a lot modern spidey games should learn from its traversal. And Web of Shadows is pretty rad, yeah. Not a fan of certain things, but the wallslide is fucking badass (especially when you do it horizontally instead of upwards) and it just overall feels great what massive arcs a single webline will cover
The webs in the amazing Spider-Man 2 actually don’t stick to buildings believe it or not. Just move your camera while swinging off of a low building and you’ll see
Literally the Disney infinity game is so close to spider man on the ps4 and ps5 it’s kinda crazy it even has a whole story and everything like …… Disney lowkey was going off with that game and if you think about it it probably was a big push for how spider man came out now because it was open world with npcs and the fighting is very good also has skill trees to unlock different moves and ext.
bro if u play spiderman 3 on xbox 360 youd have none of those issues. it obviously wasnt made for pc ive never seen that in my life and i still play that game , the sling shot on the bugle doesnt launch you into the ocean either and the buildings are all loaded in for xbox 360 when u use it
It's not even like that on PC, with the slingshot on top of the Bugle, it's the same as it is on PS3, and Xbox 360, where you land in the river, or on the billboard, I think this guy just got a really bad glitch.
Spider-Man ps4 swinging was fun for a while once u get the hang of it but it gets boring pretty fast becusee because you don’t have to really do much. Just hold one button jump in swing again.
Sm miles morales also has a certain level of skill bc of the bug u can do with his air dodge so u can reach some ridiculous speeds with it. It's not hard to learn but it's hard to master so it makes it that much more engaging

Spiderman 2 (ps2) is the best imo, but that's after several hundreds of hours playing it as a kid.
Tasm 2 was my first Spiderman game too😭😭 Ill always have love for it
Insomniac heard you and added a swing assistence option in Spider-Man 2
Having 0 assistance is very f*ckin challenging
I never realized how big new york felt in spiderman 3 but you're right
This dude is literally just if Cuno from Disco Elysium got a little older and started a RUclips channel, he sounds so much like him
your comedy brings me joy, thank you
Im surprised avengers wasnt the earliest of the list
Anyone else here love web swinging so much that whenever they bring it back to fortnite, that's all you do?Not even loot, get kills, or aim for the win, but just swing around pretending to be Spiderman while wearing a Spiderman skin
it's top 5 swinging for me, it's so smooth
Bro you’re hilarious this vid had me dying
I really appreciated how in amazing Spider-Man you could control each arm for wen swinging
Ultimate Spider-Man was done kinda dirty lol but great vid 🫡
IVE BEEN WONDERING WHAT SOME OF THESE GAMES WERE FOR SO LONG I played them when I was tiny and I could never remember the names
Insomniacs games feel like they limit themselves
They could have done it better but said "nah not yet"
@@Pointman11111 nah, Insomniac already looks perfect at web swinging. Nothing can top Insomniac
@@arinhossain2100 You don't understand
@@Pointman11111 I understand completely
@@arinhossain2100 then you'd understand that its not the best
The amazing spider man game can actually he salvaged the concept is not that bad it just needs some work. . . Okay. Alot of work. But i see the concept being a fun idea its new and unique and the visuals could be used so much. Lets see if someone makes a game thats better and inspired by this style of web slinging
We need more UK RUclipsrs like you my guy w video
As for the size, I didn't care at all
So, I should play Ultimate Spider-Man and Web of Shadows since I'm too poor and PC is too weak to pick up the insomniac games?
Number one has the exaggerated swagger of a black teen
Im gonna be honest when i saw avengers spiderman i thought it was somthing someone made in Playstation's dream. I also really enjoyed the amazing spiderman when i was a kid
I actually really enjoy the TASM2 swinging, it’s just a shame the game around it is atrocious.
5:54 “I’d rather eat a discharge sandwich” I died😂😂
GodzillaMendoza already made a Ranking of Web Swinging, and undoubtedly Ultimate Spider-Man had the better Web Swinging then Spider-Man 3.
What abt spiderman friend ir foe? Best webslinging ever
Spider-Man 2 has the coolest wallrun in videogames. For that alone it deserves to be way up there. The way the charged jump can be stored to be instantly expended at all times is way sicker than how in PS4 you gotta run across a plane of entirely flat ground for 3 seconds (cuz if Peter comes near a shitty parcourable object, he WILL hop onto it and reset the charge)
And I just hate how ever since Amazing Spider-Man 1, every spidey game automatically wallruns for you when you approach one, instead of giving you the choice to attach or not.
Finally ultimate Spider-Man is getting some love, I fucking love that game so much
The webs in the amazing Spider-Man 2 actually don’t stick to buildings believe it or not. Just move your camera while swinging off of a low building and you’ll see

In Spider-Man ps4 there is a trick system it is in one of the skill trees.
I think some of us forgot that ult. Spider-Man is the actual first game to explore beyond Manhattan, since some said Spider-Man 2 (ps5) started that
I already know that Miles Morales is first, Spidey PS4 is second, and Web of Shadows is third, so why even watch this video?😅
Tbh I think tasm 2 has the best swinging.
@@RyansGuitars I respect that, personally it's not one of my favourites but I used to enjoy it a lot when it was the only spidey game that I had.
@@RyansGuitars but Insomniac is better
Spider-Man ps4 swinging was fun for a while once u get the hang of it but it gets boring pretty fast becusee because you don’t have to really do much. Just hold one button jump in swing again.
Is there any way to still get web of shadows on pc?
I love this guy 🤣 keep these coming 🔥🤟🕸️
insomniac spiderman is worse compared to web of shadows or spiderman 2. So slow and easy, but it does look cooler
cooler look is the one thing it does better
When you said “number 13 Spider-Man 1 the movie game” just reminds of how the way the guy chills talks😂
You know the Avengers developer's fucked up when spidey feels better in the Lego games 😂
Mans a real g for using pink guy/filthy frank background music
Imagine if telltale made a spiderman game Batman was my favorite one but I wondered what they could have done
For my entire life never noticed the animated feet thing in sm3
Yoooo i LOVED Amazing SpiderMan on the Xbox 360 when I was a kid as well! But i also enjoyed Bolt for the DS soooo yeah.. Twas a kid
Sm miles morales also has a certain level of skill bc of the bug u can do with his air dodge so u can reach some ridiculous speeds with it. It's not hard to learn but it's hard to master so it makes it that much more engaging
