TCL 2019 75-inch 6-Series vs. Hisense H8F | Which Is The Better Deal?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 июн 2019
- TCL's 6-series TVs go head-to-head with Hisense's H8F in terms of price per size, but which one performs better? In this video, we pit a TCL 75R615 (same as the R617 but without voice remote) against a Hisense 65-inch H8F. The size difference may not seem fair, but it's what we have on hand and we couldn't miss out on making this comparison, which still reveals the performance differences between each TV. Please note that while our side-by-side footage of the TVs is taken from directly on-axis, many of the scenes where both TVs are seen sitting next to each other required that we film just off-center from both TVs, thereby slightly altering the picture quality of both sets. As always, video camera limitations come into play, so pay careful attention to our observations in the narrative. Enjoy!

Thumps up for your honesty here ! It's becoming a rare thing these days .
Fight! Fight! Fight! This little series was great, i really hope you review and compare more budget sets in the future
I like your honesty and saying there are other subscribers that can give more comparing information if they really want that information of results.
You are the best reviewer man!
I really enjoy all your videos.
Great video comparison, I do test gaming with TVs but Im waiting for the H9F model.
Ive got the H8f What are your picture settings for gaming on the xbox one S?
Thank you for making this video, you made my shopping decision easier.
Always compare based on price levels. Thank you!
I really like your reviews, very clear and on point.
Big up for saying: other channels too do great reviews.
You have just became better for saying that
*becOme
Cause he shares info,or cause it fits your agenda shut the fuck up wierdo wanna be God
Is there a reason that the Hisense looks blurry at times (10:04)? Is that the TV or is the camera just focusing on the TCL?
Wish you could make a review of the lg 77 wallpaper tv...love your reviews
Tremendous review! Thank you for this. You were so very helpful. You da man!
In this video you answered my question of the previous video. Thank you for the information
Look forward to when you will be able to also compare input lag. On the subject of gaming though, it doesn't have to by shooters. I find the most noticeable difference with input lag is actually felt with pinball games.
3:53 for picture quality
I wonder if this also applies to the 55 inch and 50 inch versions of the Hisense H8F?
Great reviews man ! Straight to the point no bs
Super helpful review, thanks!
Great comparation rewiew. Well done.
With regards to the crushing of black detail, that happens if the local dimming is set to anything above Low on the Hisense H8F. For whatever reason Hisense has the local dimming be very aggressive at Medium and High and this causes black detail to be crushed. Also, the TV does not automatically tone map HDR fairly well when using a Video Game Console like an Xbox One X (unlike Roku TV OS which automatically tone maps up to 4,000 nits regardless of whether the device sends any HDR metadata or not). But you can get the Hisense H8F to tone map up to 3,700 nits by dropping Contrast to 42 for video game consoles. The internal apps of the TV appear to not have any issue with tone mapping and of course Dolby Vision has no issues with delivering bright specular highlight detail due to it's proprietary dynamic metadata.
With the Hisense H8F you will not want to use Game Mode HDR for playing Games in HDR because it will introduce some serious color banding. Not sure what is going on there but Hisense definitely needs to patch that. You will want to use the Theater HDR picture mode (as it gets rid of the color banding present in the Game Mode HDR picture mode) and make sure to turn off any Motion Enhancements. Film Mode will be enabled by default and even though it doesn't do anything with a 60hz signal it will add some noticeable input lag. I would say that between Game Mode HDR and Theater HDR the input lag doubles (maybe). Other reviews pegged the input lag between 15ms - 17ms with Game Mode. Without Game Mode the input lag feels like it's around 30ms (give or take a few ms).
I had those tv brands no good not like vizio smart tv 40inch
My tv has AMD freesync its a 40inch Vizio smart tv D40F Jo9
Great content, thanks! I like the TCL also, going to give the 65 to my father-in-law and buy the 75!
You guys should try a battle between TCL 2019 series 6 (R625 and R627) vs Hisense h9F both of are about to be released the h9F will be released in USA according to Hisense
I've probably watched 20 reviews/comparisons of similar large 4k TV's before buying the TCL. This is by far the most comprehensive and educational. Especially the part about "crushing" the black levels. That Hisense is a no go just for that reason imo. I owe this channel and Rtings a big thank you!
I have been watching rting recently
Are you guys going to review the top of the line Hisense 65H9F?
Great job Caleb! Awesome vid my friend 👍
Awesome review. Can't wait to see the TCL vs Vizio video. What set will be crowded King of the budget space? "There can be only one!"....
Vizio in my opinion is not a budget brand anymore there tvs keep up with the best of them
Caleb, thanks. Always great reviews. Is the H8E anywhere near H8F- or is it a black friday bait and switch? On that note, you said you would examine the Vizio M-Quantum 70" (MQ6/M706). Is it even an M-Quantum? I just bought and hear it's more comparable to V-series. I am deciding between 70" M-Quantum and Hisense 75" H8E. I am seeing for near the same price. Any suggestions? Im just so worried that these one-off holiday TVs are nothing close to the line they are supposed to represent. Thanks!
I’m having a hard time deciding whether you sound more like Alton Brown or Greg Proops.
Awesome I asked for this comparison
i would have backed down the color setting on the hi-sense just a smidge. also the contrast setting on the hi sense was at least a couple of smidges too much. as you say, it blacked out some of the information in the picture. and it's the information that we really want.
Please do full review of the new H9F which is step above the H8F.
Would rather of seen this TCL against the Sony X950G or samsung Q70R. To see if it's actually comparing to TVs twice the price or if it is truly a budget tv at a budget price.
Would love to see the 75" TCL 6 series tested against the 75" Hisense H8G
I wish l would have watched this video before l ordered the Hisense today it's due tomorrow after your review l may be returning or exchanging . Thank for the good work.
I'd hold off. Tcl is about to release a new 6 series sometime this month to retail and Hisense also has a version higher than the TV in this review which is admittedly a lot better.
That tv is a piece of shit mines went up after 14 months my mother went up n 18 months both 55s my niece went up after 11 months the picture n everything was good it don’t last long u saved ur money
Great review
Dosn't the Hisense actually allow you to mount the feet in two different locations? Near the edges OR furthe in the middle? Therefore making it even better than TCL's reversing option?
I personally love raw android TV as an OS over something like Roku. Plus a 55" H8F is currently only $399, which is quite a bit cheaper than an R617
agreed. just connect a bluetooth controller if you dont like lag, problem solved. plus the extensive play store apps really takes the cake over the ultra basic roku in my eyes. And dont get me started on the roku remote lol
Android tv is vay superior and faster than roku TV and more open.
Tcl is a winner here.but both sets are quite affordable for what they are offering.
Bought this 2017 TCL P607 2 years ago as it was the best budget 4k tv for gaming now I bought the 2019 Hisense H8F for my other room. Im not sure now which one I should use as my main tv for mainly watching netflix and Gaming. Which one is better. Thank You in advance
As far as the feet length problem of these TVs, you can buy an universal vesa mount center stand that’s maybe only 15-20 inches to fit on smaller TV stands. You can find these on Amazon and at BB, or similar stores. Just make sure you buy one that supports the size of your TV. Problem solved. Ironically my Sony Z9D comes with a small center stand which I don’t use since it’s wall mounted. I don’t know why TV manufacturers moved away from these center stands to the long, ugly feet on the edges of these new TVs. These center stands usually cost around $35-$50, TV size depending. I bought one to solve this problem on my secondary TV, TCL 55” 615 in my bedroom. With the distance between the legs it would have never fit and the 55” version of the TCL 6 was the smallest size available. No issues, holds the TV well and completely balanced with no wobble if even touched or trying to shake it on purpose. I have complete confidence in these center stands.
Thanks, I'm buying a tcl.
I'm between this tcl 75 and the Philips 75pus6754, what do recommend in sweden the price between theese two are thesame. Help me. ( for most movie/netflix, ps4 not a sportsfan)
So I have a question is the 55H9100E Plus that Walmart sells a step above the H8F or are they the same TV?
How are they for over the air tv from an antenna? Are they about the same? Is there a program guide?
How do I get rid of those annoying "suggested" video boxes that appear in this video? One of them appears at 00:45
Can you do a review of the tcl 75r617 vs the vizio p series quantum 75 inch P759-G1. I'm trying to decide which of the two models is better.
Have you tweaked anything? Or is this just out of the box?
Can the built-in Android TV or Roku TV be temporarily disabled or overridden? For example, if I wanted to use a Firestick or Apple TV or some other TV operating system? Last time I used a Roku box was on a non-smart flat screen TV a few years ago. Now, I'm looking to cut the cable and not make an expensive mistake along the way.
daaaamn Thank you Mr., it is a Helpful video.
What do you have for those of us that are blind I need a visual assistance on my television all what do you have what’s available and what can I buy
Just purchased the new Hisense H9G 65". So far it's an amazing television with a premium feel...and that's coming from a brand snob. Wonder how it would stack up to the TCL 6 series??? 🤔.
What's your opinion on The Vizio M Quantum?
Hi, are there big differences between Hisense R6 line and this one you included in your comparison?
Cheers bro...great informative vid
I wonder how the Hisense 65H9F would compare? I know its more expensive but it's newer so I would think prices will drop for BF. I prefer the simplicity of ROKU as well although I like Chromecast built-in too. Thanks for the videos. I really like to see the comparisons. I have both Hisense and TCL televisions and I also like the Vizo. It would be nice to see a comparison of the 3 of the latest of these 65 and 75 inch TV's.
That's what he should a used.
I would love to see LG C9 vs LG Nano 9 series, for instance should I get a smaller 55-inch C9 (OLED55C9PUA) or a bigger 75-inch Nano 9 TV (75SM9070PUA
)for the about same price? like how much better is the oled versus the performance of the nano TV but instead having a much more immersive experience with a huge TV
What about the durability of this tv
sold me getting 75" TCL looks really nice also like the ROKU
Just purchased today my TCL 65inch 6 series for $339 can wait to messed around with it. Heading out to Best Buy as we speak. The bad part is that I need to drive near 40 miles to LA. lol
Whats the latency for gaming?
Does the android tv allow you to record live tv On a external hard drive?
Plz tell me about the best and latest series of TCL because I want to buy TCL led Andriod tv
Regarding Gaming.. When you use an HDMI Splitter and set both into game mode.. you see at least the difference of lag between the 2 tvs.. and who wins the category..
Should I buy hisense uled or TCL Qled? I can't decide between u7b and TCL c715
But does either compare to a KRP600A?..
between tcl, vizio, and hisense who makes the best tv?
I just bought an 8hf for 550, is it worth the extra 1200 for lg oled b9?
any opinion on sony 900h vs sony 950h vs tcl 6 vs tcl 8 ... I am totally confused after seeing a million review and comparison videos, what would you get?
That TCL series 6 in 75" has a 120hz native panel; the 55/65" don't.
TCL is pushing FALD with very good input lag
Question about the legs ...do either sets allow them to be moved closer ?
I have had two Hisense TV's both had the red light of death within one year of ownership. I will never buy Hisense again. TCL is a great, budget friendly TV
does the TCL 6 series offer the RUclips TV app? Not plain RUclips... but the TV platform
Better comparison would be the Hisense H9F to the TCL 625.
I realize neither TV was out in June but the H9F was out shortly after.
They never covered the h9f though
I don’t want a tcl but how would the hisense h8f compare to samsung ru8000?
Just got an H9F and Xbox One X says that HDR 10 video is supported but not HDR gaming. Went into settings on the TV and 'HDMI 2.0 format' is grayed out at 'standard'. The thing is, my Samsung Q70R supported HDR in gaming. Am I missing something?
Which TCL model would you suggest? I liked C8
Personally I’ve decided for the Hisense for my basement and the wife is getting a TCL for upstairs. My question is which of the Hisense, H8F and H9F is better for viewing sports? I watch a lot of them from baseball, football, hockey, etc. and I was curious if the difference is that crazy between the H8F and H9F. If not I’ll probably just go with the H8F because it’s cheaper.
As your consideration what you think about Hisense H9 Series?
This is what I am interested in.
What about the Dolby vision?
Hey Caleb someone told me to be carefull not buy a 4K tv under 55 inches because of Faux K. They use 2 1080p chips instead of a true 4K chip. Is this true? If so what brands do this?
Awesome job but next time include the sound for people like me with hearing loss I need to know I can hear the TV without surroundsound being purchased extra
Can't the issues with Hisense crushing blacks and TCL red and magenta color defects be calibrated away to at least some degree? It would be good to see them compared post-calibration.
I purchased one tcl L55P2MUS last May but it is blinking. They are telling no spare parts. In warranty period what can I do.
I see the MartinLogan Dynamo in the corner, great sub!
Where is your h9f review?
Sound quality?
Can you review and compare the 58" 4K TVs for Onn (Walmart) and Insignia (Best Buy) which are both $199 during Black Friday. Thanks!
Hey guys, need your help here. In Europe we don't have any of the two tvs. Can you tell me what European model is comparable to the hisense or TCL?
Any idea when the TCL 75R625 will be available?
One Thing i thought of, If both Panels have the same amount of Pixels, schouldnt be the smaller panal be superior?!
Can you please review the LG Nano series? 🙏🏾
It sucks man.
Is it best to Buy a Android TV or buy a Android Box to connect to it? I notice Android TVs only come in Hisense, TCL, Phillips TVs, I didn't know if they was good TVs
going from plasma , is the TCL a good enough picture?
Nope, dont ever look this way, the only for you is to look at OLED
I'm just like you I have a plasma I'm thinking about going qled... but I want something for now that'll hold me so I get the qled
Can you compare the TCL against the Vizio P75-F1
I just like the production and the transitions as he speaks. So smooth and less fluff, just straight to the point and tips here and there. And points where if you don't like this and not over energetic or anything. Super casual and not boring. Should have a podcast.
But you do TVs really good please try gaming. You are made for this TV reviews. Love your channel and keep it up brotha. Please reconsider gaming, doesnt have to be first person shooter you can always try a racing game
??
What about the Hisense H6500F 65inch 4K TV, which only sells about about $400?
Will you be reviewing Hisense H9F at all ?
H9F is the TRUTH. It will slay the TCL.
basically the same w/ the lag fixed and higher refresh rate
What do you think I should get the samsung q70r 75 inch for 2300$ cad or Sony x900 f 75 inch for 2500$ cad or go for the tcl 617 75 inch for 1550$ cad. I mostly use for video games or sports with some tv shows and movies.
I have a TCL purely because of how good the picture was, why don't we have Roku in Australia it is just an android tv. Is there a way to change to Roku
Well Done!!
