Battle damage wise, it's pretty screen accurate to the moment he wields the infinity stones and says ''I am Iron man'' Not sure why people are saying they ''slacked'' on the damage to the back, It's a nano tech suit. Watch the scenes, the back of the suit takes no damage. Sure some dirt might have not gone a miss at a push, but nano tech makes the damage minimal unless he's taking too much direct damage then it can't regenerate.
The opening is fantastic. This is an incredible figure. The battle damage is much better than I expected. However, I'm surprised Hot Toys didn't add additional battle damage to the helmet and back of the figure. The display base is a great bonus and I'm glad it didn't come with a nameplate. It's definitely an iconic Iron Man figure, but I wouldn't say it's the best ever.

If I had one wish it would be a second head sculpt in the box for post snap where is face is burned down the right side from the damage of using the stones. I know there are 3rd party versions that offer this but they really don't capture the likeness of Downie Jr anywhere near as well as Hot Toys. I just picked up the Mark 4 diecast with Gantry 1/6 second hand on eBay for £300 which is aj absolute bargain. Figure and Gantry is immaculate its basically in brand new condition but the more I see this the more I want it. This paired with an Endgame battle damaged Thanos with that beautiful defeated/shocked look Thanos head sculpt is absolutely the way to go.
Great video as always. I agree about the toss up between the Mk 85 BD and the Mk VII. The 85 has the best head sculpt easily. But the 7 comes with so many accessories and normal and BD parts. If you’re an Iron Man fan, you should probably own both

I was honestly debating on canceling my order but I wanted to wait for the reviews before I did. I had originally ordered this guy but got the clean one due to the delay. I plan on using the accessories the BD one came with to use on my clean
My only complaint with the lasted iron man figures is the batteries. As long a hot toys has been making figures there should be a charging component for lights or the very least a master switch
What a great unboxing :D, is it advisable to keep the MK 85 BD on that kneeling pose? won’t it stress the joints or would it be fine thank you so much for this video helped me in posing the figure.
The 7, 47, and clean 85 are my favorites! The 7 is my number one. I would have liked the BD85 even more, had there been more bd on the helmet and back of the figure.

I'm just a little frustrated because Hot Toys had released both Mark V (reissue) and undamaged Mark 85 which I then pounced on...then Hot Toys released more interesting versions of Mark V and damaged 85. I would have preferred to have alternative versions released alongside the undamaged version so one wouldn't have to ponder losing their deposit. Not a deal breaker. I'm content but not going to throw more money for the same mark.

The lack of battle damage on the helmet looks odd. Doesn't fit with the rest of the figure and sticks out like a sore thumb. Strange choice to not damage that or the back.
There was little to no damage on the helmet and on the back of the armor on Iron Man in the final fight scenes in Endgame. The majority of the damage was on the front . Chest and legs. When he faught Thanos he never had his helmet on. If anything u could argue the back could of been a little dirtier.
Great review again. Definitely agree they need to address the battle damage to the back. Even a little grime and dirt would have made it look even better. Mines is in pre-order, I might get it by June…🤣
"I think they cheaped out on that" is something you don't want to hear at this price point. Unacceptable actually. Cool figure but the re-used base and the clean helmet and back is just upsetting and makes me question if I want it or not

It's film accurate if you have a look. In the scene where Tony and Strange reunite is probably best to check.
