Remembering JASON X or LEPRECHAUN 4, I think this is where producers turn right after the "big city" twist with nowhere left to go.
I wanted to suggest JAWS IN SPACE, but sharks have become a worn out trope in themselves.
The most ridiculous idea coming to my mind would be RESIDENT EVIL's "Red Queen" vs 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEE's "Hal 9000".
A 90 minute movie in space with just two incorporeal AIs trying to kill each other by just talking and controlling the energy supply.
Add in the DARK STAR elevator as a cameo. ;-)

@@peka__ Haha, I like the way you think. But yeah, unfortunately the space explorations of established franchises was barely any good. Which is a shame, as the horror sci-fi subgenre gives so much great potential! But it also needs much more budget than your average camp slasher to work well, so there we go 😅

That one did not get me as much as the Wes Anderson one for example. Maybe because the themes are to much apart for me. Besides that this idea is highly creative and do not listen to a rando on the web. The next person might find it insane.
