  • The New York Knicks have been the best defense in basketball since the All-Star Break. They held opponents under 100 points(!) in five straight games.
    In this video, I breakdown how they've been successful on that end and why they're such a difficult team to score on both now and in the playoffs.

    The recent ref changes also contribute to their style of defense. Its also a perfect storm of defensive minded players. That combo is brutal

    This may be a hot take to some, but I legit think Duece is a top 10 on ball defender in the NBA rn

    hey bro u got big potential. I loved this vid. Scripting of this video was on point, and the defensive breakdowns were really understandable.
    i think if you get a better mic, u could probably see an increase in performance btw!

    Great video ! Only thing I will say is the Knicks don’t play drop coverage. We’re usually up on all screens drop coverage is when you incentivize the offensive player into shooting mid range jump shots

    The coach lets his players leave their man to help teammates when they read the play being run , Knowing that another player will swing over to cover his player until he can get back , its a read and react defense , just like his offense ! Thibs gets his 3rd coach of the year and 3 year extension !

    One thing to mention about the Knicks' success is their rebounds. They are top 5 in the entire league at 45+/gm and with guys like Josh Hart and Hartenstein trying to get 2nd chance shots against the Knicks is almost impossible.

    The defense is good not historical

    • @johnstrika9170
      @johnstrika9170 Месяц назад

      It could be considered "historical" if you take into consideration the rules in the NBA now and the fact they don't call traveling, carrying etc and REWARD flopping. It's really hard to play defense in the NBA now. Also, with the over reliance on 3 pointers, games are far more high scoring

    The big problem is OG is starting to look like a bust. The dude is either made of glass or he has no heart and won't play if he's less than 100 percent

    • @jemirtoussaint4940
