The fact that they're able to incorporate an iridescent song such as this without it sticking out at all is magnificent

I followed Genesis from their onset. What a great prog band they were.
Being from South Africa, I never got to see them live and had to go to lengths to get hold of their material.

Vous avez tout à fait raison. Ce morceau est l'un des plus beaux de ce merveilleux album, même si je lui préfère "Selling England by the pound", notamment pour "Firth of fifth" et "The cinema show". Bravo, en tout cas, pour votre excellente culture musicale et votre goût pour le rock progressif, la meilleure des musiques, à mon goût, même si ce genre musical est totalement absent des différents médias. Genesis figure en troisième position de mes groupes préférés, après King Crimson et Pink Floyd, même si, en matière de rock progressif, il est difficile d'établir une hiérarchie. That instrumental makes me cry. It brings me back to that very year! Genesis and I were born in the same year! I was wondering if there could have been a gradually diminishing ending to that wonderful segment than for it to blend into Counting Out Time. Yes! There is!!! ❤️
A Beloved Mentor & Elder friend of mine who use to work for the BBC, who was good friends with Comedian Benny Hill, at one time lived in a building on at 20 (?) Holland Park, recalls members of a band naming themselves Genesis going up to a unit above him-as to who lived there, who frequent up and down them apples and pear-I don't recall.
I'm so glad l love this album, it's just perfect, a roller-coaster ride of wonderful melodies, a masterpiece l have enjoyed since it was released. Magnificent!

@@TheRamsay one track doesn't make up for what they've done to the rest of the tracks and albums in general, horrible stuff.

@@TheRamsay Listen to all of Selling England By The Pound (the original master is on my channel) and you'll hear how rich and warm it was in its original mix.
