@@UKKC80s I love Jimmy Fallon, but he needs to calm down. I know he loves magic, as do I, and he was excited to have Blaine on the show, but he needs to relax.
Within the first 5 minutes of the video, Jimmy was acting as if Blaine was going straight to the strange and unusual. Meanwhile, it was just a cool card trick. I'm trying to enjoy the trick, and Jimmy keeps freaking out, like as if he's 9 years old again and never knew David Blaine existed.
Notice how The Roots were not freaking out? They're just trying to watch the trick.

What I LOVE about David Blaine is that his tricks seems pretty raw and genuine. That was differentiate him and other magicians.
Because it is genuine frog coming from his stomach and back.
In order to this trick he can't eat for certain amount of time and he does have literal aquarium in his stomach
These are more feats than tricks, but his tricks are pretty cool too.

If you listen to Penn and Teller they have a belief that it's unethical to take any real risks to your health as a magician because if anything goes wrong you have made the audience complacent. I HOPE that Blaine is the same way because some don't agree

Blaine is using a technique made popular by Mirin Dajo in the late 40s. Mirin could pass a sword through his torso. David Blaine is using the same technique, albeit the scar tissue developed for this trick is around his lips instead of his torso. there is really no pain. or danger. The blood that Priyanka saw is negligible; The scar tissue he is using around his lips maintains minimal blood vessels in the same way that (this is a little gross, sorry) sometimes snot can maintain minimal blood vessels. in other words it was completely controlled amd not painful.

For the times he eats glass, he has shown in videos on his channel doctor checkups and it has clearly screwed up his molars. Blaine doesn't just do magic tricks. He's does legit stunts and endurance artist stuff as well. The spewing kerosene and water act he used to do killed the previous performer who used to do the act. He does take risks and sometimes damages his health.
all magicians are risking their health but in a controlled testing environment, long before it hits the stage. There are lots of things you have to do to your body to prepare, before you can even look at the techniques.

After watching hours of his videos doing street magic and even live in person at Times Square, I realized that the real beauty of this man is not whether what he does is real or magic; of course it’s real. It’s his ability to take advantage or tap into something you already know to be true based on experience. And when you’re in that state of mind, you are a lot more susceptible to get distracted, because thinking you know something for certain gives you a false sense of safety that completely blurs your senses.

Anyone remember when Blaine flew up into the stratosphere in the "Up"-like balloons? It's not magic, but it was an incredible feat of engineering and mental and physical perseverance. I really enjoyed that the most of all of Blaine's stunts.
A lot of his performances aren’t magic but more physical and mental stunts. “Pushing his body to the limit” as he says. Definitely impressive.

The CARD MOVING TRICK in the hand of the subject, is really incredible. You can do sleight of hand or misdirection if its in your hand, but when its in their hand, its a whole nother level of control!! AMAZING!!!
When he said "count them and put them upside down" he did the first two, I guess it's at that time he played the extra 3 cards.
At 07:01 he adds the cards while tapping on the table. They are palmed at that moment, and he executes it perfectly. After that he just has to get the number right, so he let's them choose between low numbers and makes up the calculation to match the amount he added.
Ya the first one is facts but what about the 20 the odds of him guessing there numbers are low and he doesn’t even touch the deck the deck doesn’t leave the guys chest

7:01 As Tariq reaches the count of 10, David taps the cards on the table and you can spot some in his hand before he adds them to the pile. Sleight of hand is always such a treat to watch. Hiding in plain sight!
In reality, he adds 3 cards @ 5:32 as he puts the small deck on top of the big deck, but they are already upside down, that's why he asks for the cards to be count turning them upside down and not on the table.
But how did he know that they would pick 4 and 3 and he has to add exactly 7 more cards
