That honestly hit me a little. I'm someone who, mentally, had to grow up surviving rather than living. I secluded myself from fun, to only do things with a purpose, everything had to be moving toward something or it was worthless and risky. The biggest step I've taken recently to get out of that mind set, was to do it all. Even if I don't read it that often, fanfiction was always a way I could show my love for a franchise, character or world, but I never took those ideas seriously 'cause I've had people say it's a waste of my skill set. Beyond that I never got any support from my family. So to hear someone older than me, (Not that you look old, you look lovely 🥰) say "Screw it, were doing it all!" is really nice to hear. To not hyper prioritize something that's meant to be for me, supposed to be fun and to just say "I can do it all." It's just nice.

I love how everybody (including myself) assumes an OC has to be related to someone important to the franchise. I understand why we feel that way, but come on. We can't all be related to important people in the current generation of society.

Eh personally I avoid doing that. I have my own cast of characters with their own personalities, goals, relationships... doing their own thing away from the main cast.
Your series is so awesome, it made me want to replay Pokémon Ultra Sun! Which I’m doing right now 😁
I'm actually really looking forward to everything you have planned! Both the Alolan Adventures as a longtime pokemon fan and Alola enjoyer, and the Dragons book as an environmental major. I love how accurately and thoughtfully you portray these characters.
You don't have to do this any time soon as you clearly have your plate full, but little comics of El or even someone else exploring Paldea or Galar would be fun, like what you did before Alolan Adventures. Not a main series thing, just little fun snippets to show your thoughts, opinions and experiences with those games or any other regions.
Keep up the good work!

first, i wanna preface this with the fact that i am around 13 years old, and i found this series when i was around 9-11. i was kind of interested in pokemon but not fully because i was more interested in the world than just the battles, so when i stumbled upon a comic dub of your comic i was instantly in love and that this comic holds a very special place in my heart to the point that i always checked the webtoon weekly and even reread the comic multiple times during the hiatus because it was just SO good. all im trying to say is that this comic has gone so far from just being a simple self-insert comic with pokemon and that it has remained special to me for all these years. thank you eleanor :)
El, I would love to see if possible, maybe a live table read if the cast is about it? Even if they have like an avatar if they'd like to stay private. I think this would be lovely 😍

I am truly excited to be taken on this adventure! I knew this comic from fan dubs back in the day and had recently gotten back into and I saw it on Webtoon sooo yeah I’ll be alerted on almost all platforms for a new comic. Please take your time though and take care of yourself during all of your projects, and know that this is inspiring me to make my own story for Pokémon in my favorite region. I won’t go far like you, but it’ll be a nice side thing to unwind with
Min 21:00 : you're g*dd*mn right. What's really special about EAA is the personality and the character you put in the comics. Even if the characters and the setting are not original, you were so good in expressing their emotions in a meaningful and relatable way, it often moves me. EAA is one of my comfort comics, for the way you deliver emotions and for the softness and warmth of your drawings.

Yeah that's totally fair. Personally I think Sun/Moon were the last Good Pokemon *MAIN* Series games. If we removed the main, then
Legends:Arceus Would win, but unfortunately it's not.
When it comes to plot, nor Galar or Paldea could overcome the 3ds game. Honestly if Pokemon were for some reason done for good after the Alola, i wouldn't be so sad. At least we would still have Mega Evolutions and an interesting alternative in form of z moves.
Despite releasing only 16 more Pokemon than Kalos did, much more of them were interesting, not mentioning regional forms.
Over all, I think Sun/Moon will still be great Games for a loooooooooooong time.

Hey, I know you probably won't see this, but I just want to know how much your series and you explaining the process behind it means to me!
I am currently a small story writer, and when I mean small, I mean like, I only share it with my closest friends kind of small.
I have a story revolving around my Pokémon characters. The story very similar to yours, and mine has so many parts in it as well!
When I get older, I plan to animate it into a webseries like you do! The story has 5 parts, which, when animated, will be like 5 seasons. I'd say how many episodes would be in each part, but the problem is they fluctuate wildly depending on the plot.
But I digress!
Sorry to make you read so much, but I just want you to know that lots of the stuff you talked about actually gave me so much closure for the worries I had!
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pay the voice actors for my characters as well, I was worried that people might give me negative feedback, but what I'm getting from this video and plenty of my friends, is that people actually love things like this, and that good voice actors aren't actually that hard to find!

Look up "Fio und Tika und die Rettung der Bienenkönigin" by Eleanor Bick :D That's my first novel and it should still be available on amazon! There is also a book called "Die sieben Gartendrachen" which is more of a collection of poems about the gardendragons and seven native wild bee species (my publisher was pushing for an additional release so I created that pocketbook in like 2 months jgfdkjgdfkg it's still good tho)
"Die geheime Welt der Gartendrachen" is unfortunately no longer available, that was our initial guidebook to all dragon species. Maybe you'll still find it on ebay!
But I can wholeheartedly recommend "Fio und Tika", it has a few chapter llustrations too and is the first Adventure Novel featuring my Gardendragons! ☺
Also no, no current plans on including protagonists of other Pokemon games. Maybe we'll see Red and Blue tho at the Battle Tree, should I reach that story arc.
