Man, these videos are so good. I'm from Manitoba, and now I'm more inspired than ever to bike around parts of the province I have cycled yet. Sometimes you don't appreciate enough how nice home is until someone makes a video like this! (Also, it's true, mosquitoes and ticks can be.. a trial.)
I'm not sure why you stopped posting.... But these are honestly the best advertisement for Canada and its nature... I have we watched your videos over and over again...hope you will post more or let us know what happened 😢
Amazing Nathan! You are super talented. Sometimes, while watching your videos, I feel like I'm watching a wildlife/natural phenomenon documentary, and not just a bike tour. Your storytelling is a really such a gift to both people interested in Canada and bike tourers. Can't wait to what happens in Ontario!
This series of cycling videos filmed on your path across western Canada are the ne plus ultra of bike-packing video accomplishment. The cinematography, editing and sublime narration are positively stellar. Like so many others have stated, it would be amazing to follow the balance of your epic journey eastward toward the Atlantic. I hope you find the time to post those adventures some day. Well struck and thank you.
Altona has a close place to my heart, my childhood years being a little north of there and my great uncle who was a legend of a man was a ral staple in that town. It truly is a great small prairie town.
Absolutely stunning. You captured the aurora beautifully. Your route choice is perfect. Even the mosquito hell will be looked back on as "type two" fun.😜. By far the best video of the trans Canada I've seen. Thank you so much for sharing. Looking forward to the next segment.
These trails are so beautiful! I might not get to bike them but at least you let me live them. Three cheers for sharing this beautiful country with so many people…….. thank you thank you Diane
Loved all the personal touches, the weather events and your musical accompaniment and of course your super photography. What amazing endurance you haveThank you for so generously sharing.
i just gotta' say, for a bikepacker you sure ride at night a lot. must be nice. i follow a lot of bikepacking channels...not done very often that i could see at least. i ride in thailand, night riding might not work out so good in my neck of the woods at least. too many dogs with sharp teeth. best to ride in the heat of the day while they siesta.
This is without a doubt one of my favorite bike travel series of all time. Just the kind of route selection and filmmaking I've come to expect after the previous episodes. You did such an excellent job of relating how it felt to be in each place. Makes me really want to see more of Manitoba. I'm gonna bring a bug jacket though, just saying! lol. I never would've survived the Ontario bush without one.
Absolutely stunning!! Beautiful footage artfully edited and honestly narrated (both live and voiceover!). I can produce nothing that comes close for our 2022 Journey across Canada, but you inspire me to do a better job next time. So happy you were able to cycle in the Aurora and really felt for you being eaten alive!!! Thank you for this work of art - I know it takes time to do - we are all grateful. Looking forward to Ontario!! Take care
I agree with everyone who has said these are just fantastic! Do you have the rest of this trip coming soon to youtube? Do you have a blog of your day to day rides, that I would love to see. But thanks for these, you had a magical bike tour!
love love love your videos. I have a bespoke Kona Sutra that is begging me to ride it from Waterloo ON to Halifax and back this summer. how do you find such amazing campsites? are your lights battery or generator/dynamo powered? I have a few thousand km and too many decades behind me. how do you setup in the dark? love all the shots of you riding by but also appreciate how much work that was! thanks! looking forward to more especially to see if you follow any of the routes that I have! peace!
Not to be condescending, although as a touring cyclist myself I find that carrying (deep woods off, cortisone 10 and dermaplast) are by far the best defense against all insect attacks. Also for my defense against stray dogs, I use (UDAP Bear spray) the holster stays at the ready on my cockpit, this highly concentrated pepper spray leaves would be predatory dogs howling and squirming in the grass believe me this spray deters and stops them in their tracks!
This video is stunning. Such a different Manitoba from the one I experienced while riding across. Thank you for this video. Also - your mosquito attack was very funny to watch, but I know not too funny in the moment. The TCT is quite something. I know you met Kasia and Szymon along the way, who also rode sections of the TCT. I was amazed to hear that the trail is advertised outside of the country as rideable and connected. Maybe the reality adds to the adventure of riding it.
@cynthiafeldmann2678 Okay, it seems like that i do miss some clips like 20:06😂, i hope he can add more vlogging style clips, that will be more interesting.
The Coca-Cola falls footage with the mosquitoes gave me serious PTSD from all the times I got caught up in a path in the area. Once they find you, it’s game over until you get out. I couldn’t believe you had such patience to actually film and get testimonials while getting eatin alive
Patiently waiting for your next video. =)
When will part 5 be uploaded?
Just wow.... Magnificent footage... My favorite shot was riding under the big Dipper, until I saw the Northern lights... Really cool❤
Nice footage of Manitoba! We have a saying in Mb, " we don't have a single mosquito, they are all married and have extremely large families!"
I really enjoyed this series 😃 beautiful 🤩 thank you 😊
Nooooo I need more episodes!
This video hit me straight in the feels. Amazing job. Best bikepack video I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing

Awesome!!! Thank you, I eagerly await each new province... as we all do, I'm sure!!!
Great video. Those bloodsuckers looked brutal, reminded me of days spent hiking northern tundra 😱
Great light shows. Thank you.
CBC needs to pick you up and air these - spectacular! Can't wait for the rest, Nathan.
I can’t wait for Ontario! Keep them coming Nathan!
Just love this series Nathan. I always save each episode for an undisturbed time on the big screen. Yiur night shots are just legendary.

3:01 this might be my favourite shot from a cycling video. That shot of the full moon just before is pretty good too!Good job!
Fantastic! I've been impatiently waiting for your next episode!

I rarely, if ever, comment on RUclips videos but these are some of the best on this platform and I just thought you should know that!
"DON'T EVER COME HERE" made me laugh! Once again an amazing journey Nathan.
These trails are so beautiful! I might not get to bike them but at least you let me live them. Three cheers for sharing this beautiful country with so many people…….. thank you thank you Diane

Just retired. I have a huge desire to cycle across the country. Doubt I ever will. Really enjoying your vids.
Great video Nathan, awesome addition to the series! Thanks for sharing with us!
Ya the lack of mosquito net over your face was BRUTAL. I can only imagine the horror of trying to push through. Great ride though
Will you be adding to your video journey across Canada any time soon?
Waiting for the Ontario episode ⚡️🤞🏿🙏🏿 you can do it ✨
I agree with everyone who has said these are just fantastic! Do you have the rest of this trip coming soon to youtube? Do you have a blog of your day to day rides, that I would love to see. But thanks for these, you had a magical bike tour!

Just found these - the videos are amazing. When's Ontario coming?
Awesome!! What camera are you using here?

What a beautiful country
This episode was brought to you by Lyme and west Nile disease
Did you make it to New Brunswick or Nova Scotia?
witch camera are you using to record at night ?
47 degrees...?
Hi Nathan, Do you have a map of the route you took?
FWIW I did NOT find your mosquito challenges even slightly humorous. they are 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 demons!
If you can add some talk to the camera footage, that will be perfect.
Nathan does include narration. Maybe check your volume level.
