12 mass shootings in a year... Who would have thought that? 🤔

DeWine is politely saying that Columbus needs to look at the way it is prosecuting (or not) the criminals who treat the justice system like a revolving door… led by Zach Klein, who famously prefers to release criminals than have their lives “destroyed” by felony convictions.
After Klein put all his prosecutors through diversion program training, you hear things like this:
“Dietra Sherwin, a Columbus public defender, agreed. “Ever since the P.I. training, we’ve seen more willingness to offer diversion,” she said. “It’s not all about a 30th conviction for soliciting. They are having that conversation: ‘What can we do for this single mother to help her not be in this position?’”
So any thought of trusting him to convict repeat offenders is a joke, when public defenders are acknowledging that even people prosecuted over 30 times are still getting diversion. Only way things will change is when leadership changes. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s up to the residents, if they are tired of being afraid of living in their own city.
