The woman from these eras passed down knowledge to their daughters and nieces of things you shouldn't do to benefit future husbands because it would only hurt the women.
That ball kept on rolling and now women are soley focused on their own mental health and say, "Yes, we will marry but under said conditions."
And many men, not all, cry how it is unfair to them.
Those men need to realize we are looking out for our own well-being because we were taught by our grandmothers and great grandmothers the horrible things they went through for their husbands. Going back down that rabbit can lead to society reversing back to those times and we don't want that to happen.
