- A championship title that was many years in the making, EDG finally got to lift the Summoner's Cup after an incredible victory at Worlds 2021!
Their journey here wasn't easy, and this was EDG's Road to Championships!

Flandre: has never went to Worlds and wants to prove himself
JieJie: filling in the shoes of Clearlove
Scout: looking for his first international trophy
Viper: looking for his redemption after a terrible year in 2020
Meiko: pressured of being a leader and a carry for his team after Clearlove left
They all deserve it.
Flandre: This is maybe his last year in LPL if he fail to get the trophy.
JieJie: EDG regards him as the core player in future.
Scout: He told EDG that he is too tired to carry the game by himself and he needs more help. Then EDG bought Flandre and Viper.
Viper: Being abused by both LCK haters and terrible days in HLE in whole 2020. He is regarded as an abandoned boy after grf event.
Meiko: Entering his final stage of career, if EDG still got terrible result this year, I believed he may choose to transfer to another club.
Congratulations EDG and to jiejie and flandre for carrying their team to world championship. Also congrats LPL for ruling as the number 1 region. A bit sad to see rng facing EDG in the quarters, which could easily been the final.
When you think about it every 5 games series we saw could've been the finals, even the GenG one. Nobody expected GenG to perform this well, I got some 2017 Samsung Galaxy vibes. Then T1 DK, if T1 won the finals would've been crazy as well, imagine seeing a RNG vs T1 finals, just like EDG RNG have been eliminated so many times by T1, even losing a world's finals against them in 2013. In terms of match up this world's was the best, so many game 5 and with small changes we could've seen some completely different outcomes.
@@godisevil7655 No. Leave T1 alone. They got destroyed by Damwon and that was their end. There was nothing to salvage from that series unlike RNG vs EDG which was decided by 2 failed smites
@@gaoaibai6243 looks like we didn't watch the same games, T1 got destroyed?? Showmaker hitting that Q in game 5 prevented T1 from going Baron. They totally could've won that series idk what you're talking about. One single spell that decides a series makes it much closer than smite fights.

It is quite emotional when they said we have nothing to lose, nobody expects us to win.
Their staff and coaches are the best, in their YT channel you can watch all the different speeches they gave to them.

@@abdallaosama574 I will be honest. I didn’t expect edg to win. Dk seems too overpower and the win rate is so high. But edg did everything, against rng gen and dk. That’s amazing.

Really, EDG make and break during the tournament. They break in the second week, break the curse of quarterfinals, make in every game their style and break the danwon combo, making their own legend in the league

Their story to this championship is def one that will go down in history . Later on whenever u talk abt this win the insult n disrespect they got both frm the opponents n fans will be remembered . Ppl will look back on this as the time when everyone underestimated this team .

On this video, many of those plays are from Jiejie, no doubt the best jungler at the World Championship and crucial for EDG.
Sadly, Riot shamelessly robbed him the FMVP.
Im a big EDG fan, i would say the Mvp is equally deserved by both Scound and Jiejie
Both Meiko and Viper played out of their mind too,without any doubt the strongest botlane of the entire tournament

I felt like scout was the worst performer actually (he didnt play bad but like everyone else looked better) no idea how he got fmvp. Flandre and Jie jie played so good, it should have been one of them
They all played amazing and fulfilled their roles, all laners controlling their lanes, Flandre flanks and teamfighting, Scout big plays and mechanics, Meiko supporting in the right places, vision control and engages, Viper accompanying the team, Jiejie dominating the jungle, smite steals, engages, initiations, decisions making, a lot of things. Problem is, Jiejie in set 1&2 got the MVPs and then, Riot just gave it to Scout, even Scout got surprised by that, that's my reason to say they robbed it, all the team was fantastic. Jiejie did a lot this series, as the other FMVPs since 2018 did for their respective teams.

jiejie is the real mvp, he played better than canyon who is arguably the best jg of all time. Even tho everyone on edg performed.
i was sad for khan but he was the only one who didnt perform up to expectations while everyone else performed well or beyond that. its insane to me to say i thought only way edg could win was viper carrying them or through bot gap and viper was the least important piece for edg in this series.

A historic triumph no doubts. Doubted until the very end, EDG and the LPL was humiliated, ridiculed and insulted by the LCK and their bandwagoners, led by the cheater LS and his goons.
So many of the good folks that made up the LPL fanbase were converted into traitors, outright betraying the very foundation of their belief ! Some were forced into hiding, like me, scared for our very existence but came up right bout time to put down the final shot to our most hated foe. Some were even publicly hammered, shitted on, ridiculed by everyone else around him, like homeboy azersub ! He was a true hero ! But nearly put to death by the bandwagoning LCK meniacs !
But it was all meant to be. The moment EDG lifts the Summoner's Cup, confirming the fateful and final victory of the LPL, of the decent folks, over the traitorous turncoats, LCK bandwagoners, fanatical and toxic Koreaboo netizens and some stupid former deluded EU fangays who were led to their doom by the so called "analysts"... THIS IS TIME WE BURN IT ALL DOWN ! Do not let those traitors, those filth, those who dared to ridiculed, insulted and humiliated us survive this ordeal ! BURN THEM ALL !
