Tracy I want to say my respect meter for you went up to 1000 for this interview. Thank you for honoring such a legend… It needs to be done more, my hats off to you. Thank you.
T.L. you took me back to my childhood with this one. Thank you. Much respect to you both. I wondered if these 2 guys were still with us . T.L. glad to hear you with new material.👍👍.
I worked with Joe's son Tim in the early 1990's. Never got to meet Joe but always wanted to tell him how my cousin and I used to torment our grandmother by singing Roll On Big Momma to her when we were kids. It was a game and she would chase us through the house when we'd do it lol. Good times and good memories.
I first heard of Joe Stampley from the Moe and Joe collaborations. Then I went and listened to his own stuff. I love Moe Bandy's honky tonk singing, but Joe was actually a stronger vocalist, with his soul songs. And he had three #1 hits of his own before he hooked up with Moe. Bandy only had one. Glad to see Joe here. Honestly, I didn't know he was still with us.
talked to Joe at the walker creek bridge on lake erling years ago , he had a radio playing in a bass boat - i said man joe really made the big time . great memories of our hometown
So fun to hear that part of Louisiana talked about. I grew up in Ruston and the musical talent that has come out of that area is unreal. Heck right now Chris Stapletons drummer, Luke Bryan’s bass player, Seals touring guitarist, and Alan Jackson’s fiddle player all have roots in the Ruston area.
Hey Tracy! I’m an artist based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland. Really enjoy your show. Lots of great insight into how the industry works and fantastic guests. You’re appreciated and I love all you do! Keep it up buddy
Amazing thing is, I was rolling in to Foreman Ar.as this came on. Earlier today I drove through Springhill La. Tonight I'll go home to Winnsboro La., which is the home of Fred Carter Jr ......the father of Deana Carter. Winnsboro is also about 5 miles from Baskin La. Home Lainey .......Small .
This is the first time I've seen joe in a long time. I remember seeing him and the band, I would bring fixin's for baloney sandwiches. I would help out if they needed it , selling the merchandise. Hi joe , good to see you again. The. Last time I saw joe and moe was in Taylorville , Ill.
Tracy, you knucklehead. Im from Malvern Ar, GenX and think the world of both you and Joe. How in the world can y'all not talk about Glen Campbell and Jerry Reed? I kept waiting for those two to come up . Elvis and Hank Sr. played The Hayride. Love that they took Hank in gladly after The Opry fired him. I cant separate Merle Kilgore from Bocephus. Thank you for laughing about that . Too funny! Im no fan of people who come into Country music who are not Country. I believe i owe it to our people down here to be honest and unapologetic about who we are. Joe is a one of a kind cat. Been of fan of his since i can remember. I was born in 71. The year he came into country. Thanks for the great interview and making us proud Ol Son!
@TracyLawrence-k2u I'm just having some fun over here. Could not be more proud of what you and our other boys have done in Country music . It is fantastic what y'all did. Nothing but Love for ya Brother!!
I just love your interviews! You are really good at doing these! I loved Joe Stampley's music back in the day❤ I'm sure your mom has told you that we have a Pecan Festival in Foreman in October with all day live music? Sure would be nice to have you come back to visit during this time. This is our third annual festival. Can you believe we have something like this in Foreman now? lol Not sure you remember me but you graduated with my brother, Keith McLane❤ Keith's son Jared is singing at the festival this year. He has a powerful voice!
Dont take this the wrong way but i didn't think he or moe bandy was still around. I went to the rodeo in Vegas one year and looked on the big screen and seen Moe playing the rodeo clown. I lost it when i looked in the arena and he was actually playing it. I thought it was just another song thry were playing.
@TracyLawrence-k2u i have been talking to soneone that says he is you. He is telling me where you are playing and romance things like wanting me to come live in Tenn On music row. I know its not really you. But its nice to dream. Love every song you have sung. Luv ya your number 1 fan
I love the music and story's but when you bring politics in to it I turned it off I know that the election is on everybody's mind but still that is not the format of the program it's about the music and story's stick to that !
@@tncountryboy06 on the contrary he did agree with Joe on most topics. Both are Trump supporters. But I agree politics should be left out of every everything.

My Papaw used to cut his hair when he lived in Springhill. His barbershop was on state line road.

@@steveburnside4390matter of opinion. But, politics have no place on a show like this. You could tell that Tracy didn’t agree with Joe
