Have you ever tried adding more weight (lead or weighted eyes) or fished it on a sink-tip and used it as a warmwater streamer? I feel like the beads added in the articulation would add some noise to the fly when stripped. Really like the pattern. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sam, Thanks for your response and kind words. You're right. Weighted eyes, beads or cones add to the articulation - and I tie a lot of other flies for more jigging action. It would work fine on the Bacon Snack as well. I mostly use this fly on sinking tip and full sinking lines - and also for pike and perch. It find it effective for most predators. Tight lines, Michael
Hi Kjell-Remi, I haven't used these flies for salmon myself, but there's no reason why you shouldn't. Just make sure you make a strong connection between the two hooks. I have used them for large Scandinavian seatrout (sea run brown) though. So... give it a try. I'm confident that salmon will go for these as well. All the best, Michael :0)
Well Sebastian, that is just like your opinion. This video has been seen by 13K people so far. Each and everyone of them probably have their own taste. Anyway, I decide what I like and use ;0)
Great looking fly. 😊
