It was an amazing explanation and summarising about Sage Gargi Vachaknavi. I would like to add few points. 1. Yajnavalkya was not over confident when he told his students to take the cows. He infact tells that the cows were very important to him because he had to support large number of students under him. In those days education was free and it was funded by the king or the income which was derived from the cows. So it was a necessity for him. 2. He doesn't threaten when he tells sage Gargi that her head will burst. Its a metaphor, it means if you think too much beyond brahman who is the cause for everything in this universe who is infinite, who doesn't have start or end, who cannot be created or destroyed and he is just experienced, you are goiyto be crazy or mad. Thats what he meant and Gargi acknowledges it as she also did know and understood about Brahman.
this is the first podcast I've ever listened to - and what a wonderful initiation it was! thank you for creatively weaving together thoughtful intellectual conversation, beautiful music, and contemporary internet culture of online debates. I am happy to now know more about the amazing Gargi Vachaknavi - thank you for helping us all to remember her name!
