Nimrah Cafe and Bakery is a landmark establishment in Hyderabad. Since 1993, Nimrah Café has been serving up delicious biscuits, buns, snacks and of course, great chai!
In this episode, Food Lovers’ Kripal Amanna samples a selection of delicious biscuits studded with a variety of dry fruits and nuts. He starts with the Cherry Coconut Biscuit with it’s delicious coconut notes and the Osmania Biscuit with it’s crumbly salty, sweet flavour. He then moves on to the Star Cashew Biscuit and the Fruit Biscuit. The Bun and Rusk Toast that follow, provide a more wholesome, less indulgent pair of snacks. Lastly he tries the Pista Biscuit and the Coconut Dry Fruit Biscuit, both with the toasty flavours of nuts and dry fruit. Of course, he rounds off this tasting session with a cup of Hyderabad’s signature tea, the Irani Chai!

the potent decoction cooked and reduced down for hours makes this chai unlike any other! you first taste the mildly bitter, tannic notes of the brew that catches hold of your palate, followed by the creamy milk. the sugar plays the second fiddle. this tea makes the perfect complement to osmania biscuits.

Just visited Nimrah Cafe after watching the video, the taste is ok, have seen places that serve even tastier stuff in hyderabad. After entering the Cafe I ordered some biscuits and tea and a pack of cookies to take home, upon tasting the biscuits there i felt its not worth to take home and asked them take the pack back then and there, the owner refused...very strange experience..
