    You can get airside (past TSA) after midnight on the day of your departure. Airside at most airports have nice carpeting and it's a well known thing to sleep there as long as you are a ticketed passenger

      The best thing for you is that they have a parking area for employees. We do here at IAH. My suggestion would be to park in the back and move around so you won't always be in the same parking spot. You'd be surprised at nosey cowkrs noticing what's not their business.

      What they think they know and what they can prove, are two very different things. 😅. I'd buy the panel van version of an Astro van and then install a metal partition and in front. Just let people knock and not get a reply.

    • @leah5580
      @leah5580 2 месяца назад +3

      @@GrantTravels23 If you're a panel van, partition or not, as a guard I'm gonna be 99.9% positive you're a camper unless you have company logos or some other indication of a rental or contract vehicle on the van. For the most part if you're not taking up customer parking and you're not destroying the parking lot we don't care. The mall I used to patrol had vehicle counts excluding Planet Fitness, so if you were to park in PF I wouldn't mind as long as you were deep at the back near the rd bc up close is for actual PF users & that mall had specific stats about customer parking. In general they expect the overnight vehicle count to be, at least for them, the Best Buy's vehicles, the security personnel's personal vehicle and that's it. All vehicle's license plates are recorded and, for the mall I worked at, 48 hrs present on the lot with no communication to security was a tow.

    New subscriber and part time van lifer here. As far as airport parking, I’ve done the same thing. I always try to “tuck myself in” somewhere in a corner. If I can, I back in. I’ve done the same in hospital lots. Most important I think is prep your van for stealth before you leave. Once you park try to stay in the car. Yes, rest stops are the best. I try to park close to the truckers and say hello if I get a chance. They are great people! Some states are better than others. I use Allstays app to try and locate them when I travel. I just did 8 states so I know. Great channel.

    It seems that stealth camping means stealth. Your vehicle should not look like someone is inside. If you park in a place where other vehicles are parked, and you are stealth, nobody would know. An airport could be an expensive place to park unless you happen to be needing to park there anyway. It may not be very quiet at the airport, depending on the particular airport.
