Which LED strips are you currently using and how do you like them?
When you cut the light strip, how do you power the remaining light strip?
@@ghattmd Only the segment connected to the power supply is usable. So you would only cut it if you wanted it to be shorter, not because you want two strips.
Currently using Govee RGBIC led light strip. I love them since they got so many scenes to choose for the lights.
S
Kind of a waste, there should be a way to plug in the cut strip into another power supply
Thanks for sharing this Wyze product information
thank you!
Thank you
Thanks for mentioning wyze provided these. 👍 When reviewers say nothing about this topic, i know to stop watching.
It is for transparency and credibility. I also insist with anyone that provides items for review, that I have full editorial control over the video and review.
Man I like your style, great review, I'm going to subscribe to your channel!
When you mention the movie reel, that was close to what I thought too- it looks like a Reel to Reel 🙂 Grew up with those (my dad, but I still like how they look)
Great content and excellent shirt 👏
Thank you.
Do you know if they can be cut & spliced back together? I would like to use them under the cabinets in my kitchen. We have 16ft of cabinet space in 4 separate parts & I don't want to buy 4 wyze light pro kits just to do it. There are many splice kits available & I would think if you connected them back in the order they were prior to being cut the controller would still work for them just as long as you do not add more than 16 total feet of leds. splice or wire connectors would not be part of the total length. Has someone tried this yet?
The Light Strip will be easier to splice than the Light Strip Pro. The epoxy finish on the pro does not leave the solder pads exposed.
Thank you for the reply@@InTheTechKnow. I think I am going to give it a try with both sets but I see where you are coming from. Maybe I could have people send me there cut ends so I could give it a try for everyone.
Can you explain further. When you cut it, how do you get the remaining to work?
@@IamRosalinW You need to link them together still. You would cut the strip and then solder jumpers between the two sections. The jumper section is just wire so that part would not light up.
I clicked "like" the second I saw your shirt 😆
Love wyze products. Question on the Pro light strip… if you cut it into two 8 ft strips can you only power one of the strips or is there a way to power both strips?
You can only power and control one strip with what is provided.
@@InTheTechKnow man that’s disappointing. I was hoping they would sell extra adapters to be able to use the strips in pieces.
If you cut them, does the excess light strip not work? i.e. do they have to be connected as one strip to light up?
If you cut the strip to shorten it, only the one side connected to the power and controller will work. The part you cut off will not have a connection for the controller or power.
I sure don't see the part of the app to change colors by section! Was that taken away????
When do they get shipped? I preordered mine ans they just say shipped in October. October is almost over! Lol
Technically, they have 9 days to go and they will still "ship in October". That being said, who knows with all the container ships sitting out in the oceans?!
Are they for indoor use only or will they stand up to the elements?
According to Wyze, these are for indoor use only.
Just subscribed to give you 1k
Thanks, David! I have a brand new Stadia Premiere Edition for being # 1,000. Send your dets to chris@inthetechknow.com.
