😁 Happy Watching!! 🎉
I💕 that real French atmosphere !
a subtle but powerful expression of that beautiful studio.
I adore the 3 pigments you used! And continue to be amazed by your skillful use of negative space. WOW!
YOU HAVE SUCH A FLAIR AND TALENT FOR PAINTING IN WATERCOLORS THAT WHETHER YOU USE A SUBDUED OR BRIGHT PALETTE, IT DOESN'T MATTER...THEY BOTH WORK FOR YOU. I HAVE ALSO BEEN ENJOYING YOUR LITTLE "RABBIT TRAILS" INTO SUBJECTS/EXCURSIONS/PEOPLE THAT COMPLEMENT WHAT YOU ARE PAINTING...LOVELY GLIMPSES INTO YOUR LIFE.
I really love these 3 pigments together, so glad you shared because I never would've thought to use them together. Beautiful work.
Beautifully composed video. I love Cerulean Blue and Indian Red together.
This three colour combo is stunning!! ❤️
I agree Alyona!
I love them both but the 2nd is so beautiful. I love moon glow. It's one of my favorite daniel smith colors. The pottery was stunning. The cafe scene was also very beautiful.
you have such an easy style. Love how you dive right into your subject, no fear!!
Wow, what a beautiful and inspiring place. Loved your paintings and the colors.
Thanks for making the kits! I appreciate the time you took to describe each item. Your RUclips channel is very inspiring.
I love the three colour combo!
Magnifique. I really love your paintings and the colours combination you choose. The ceramics are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing 😊😘
I absolutely love this! I love tertiary subdued colors. I can’t wait to try it! ❣️❤️❣️
Beautiful work. I love the colours you used. Very informative watching you paint. Thank you
Love how you captured the earthy soul of the ceramics and the place where they are displayed. The colors are genius.
Wow, Thank you so much for these awesome compliments Jane! 😳😚☺️
Love it! The second try is so much about the atmosphere in the studio - wow! and the sun the cafe sketch is also great. I will watch the video again to learn the negative painting magic you know :) thank you!!
Gorgeous color combinatios. Your sketches are stunning!
Gorgeous paintings and video! I enjoyed it all so much❤
It is so nice, this is the style I have been looking for! The muted colors and the simplified shapes are so relaxing and beautiful. Thank you so much for this ❤️. Hope to see more like this. A from Oregon.
Love love love it!!
This is such an amazing video. Thank you for sharing and for your inspiration!
Your second attempt is beautiful. Captures the rustic moodiness of the subject very well.
Really like the 3 colour combo thank you
I know this is an older video, but I absolutely loved the ceramics with the three colors you chose. I’m out of cerulean and have never tried goethite. Yikes another excuse to buy another color! As if I needed a reason! I’m a huge fan of granulating colors also. Hematite genuine is one I know you’d love. If I was on a deserted island and could take only one Daniel Smith color with me, right now it would be hematite genuine. I have loved it since I got my first tube 2 years ago. I go through a lot of it!
That’s great! I am always happy to know that people watch my older video and to get comments on it, Always wonderful to have an excuse to buy to try another color isn’t it?! 😁 I am sure you would like goethite if you like granulation even if it’s a kind of a beige weak color (not as strong as some others). Probably one day I will try Hematite genuine, it seems really lovely indeed. Thanks for the recommendation! See you my dear! 😘
What a lovely tribute to the spirit of your friend’s studio!
GORGEOUS
I loved tis color combo, going to try it myself.
Wonderful video, Anne-Laure. I love both of the paintings you've done with this interesting triad. I was surprised by the order of the painting process, particularly the pottery painting. I'll have to watch it again and then try to replicate it.
I absolutely love all your color combos! I also just love your artist eye in everything you do. The videos, music choices etc in filming. So much beauty, wonder and fun!! I’ve tried to do the challenge myself. When my infant is napping I try and paint something. I get so excited to have your videos pop up, because I immediately want to paint, paint, paint!!! ❤️🙏🏻🤗
I like the subtle colours you used - just gorgeous. It really captures the studio atmosphere.
Michelle Thanks a lot for your kind comment and sharing your feedback. 😌 I am happy you liked the colors of the paintings! 😊
Love it !! 😍😍😍
Love your colors. Today I was using some subtle shades too... that lovely mix of Fr.Ultra Marine Blue and Senn. Red orange
that can be such soft shades of Mauve and Violets and Peaches, just love it. I think the clay dust made everything softer colors, so your choices are just right. Very nice.
Deborah Thanks a lot for your compliments and for sharing what you are up to! I am looking forward to receiving my Sennelier Red Orange! I think it will be here tomorrow. 😌☺️ For sure, subtle shades are really enjoyable as well, of course, 😀
That color combination was just perfect to describe the atmosphere in that old ceramic studio.
I love your positive and inspiring way to show us how you work. Keep going Anne-Laure!
Et j'aime bien ta façon á parle anglais
Love the color combo! I especially like the way you paint negatively in this demo. It's so helpful to see your approach to this. I will try it more.
Mary, Thank! I always hope that my explanations + watching me paint can be helpful so I am happy to know it’s the case for you! Have fun experimenting with negative painting! 😝
Lovely
I ADORE this combination of pigments! Stunning atmosphere created with those 3! Beautiful paintings 😍👏💕!
I loved the three colors....a beautiful combination! Your painting of the three pieces of pottery...amazing. ( I really need to work on my negative painting!). And your table with the cup and pot of green or should I say Browns....loved it!! I couldn't quite catch the name of the Daniel Smith brown color, but I'll try to match what I have. The scenery was so beautiful! We have nothing like that where I live...in the USA IN Delaware ...that's on the mid-Atlantic east coast. Thanks for a well informed, great video! Nell
nknana3 Thank you for so many compliments! 😀 Maybe you ate talking about the Transparent Red Oxide? 😌 But I am sure you can do well with your colors. 😊 See you, Thanks for your kind comment! 😘
I very much enjoyed your approach of moving "from inspiration to creation." I loved the vignettes you choose to film of the studio and café, with all the satisfying textures. Your choices of colors were perfect to recreate these textures and the subtlety of the light and shade. Thank you again for taking us along on your adventure. It brought back many memories of visiting France over the years. . . made me smile with pleasure.
That three color combo is amazing!!
It's wonderful to see all the different colors that you use! I learn so much from your videos. You inspire me!
I love your art! Your watercolor art, your videotaping and the music during the "tour". Thank you for sharing.
Your colour choices are always beautiful. Please follow your own ideas and choices. I love watching what you do and what inspires you, It then inspires me, often to try things I would probably not have tried otherwise. Even your sharing of paintings you are not happy with is inspirational. Thank you.
I love that trio selection. Loved this video.
Yes I love the combination you used for the outside flower 🌷 and table. I love your videos
Absolutely LOVED these colors together. I'm going to make a little travel palette with these colors! STUNNING! Love your style and so happy Steve Mitchell told all us about you. 🌹😀
Really enjoyed this Video......very inspirational....and what a surprisingly sophisticated and subtle result from just three pigments! I don’t have Goethite, but think Raw Umber might be a good substitute.
This works beautifully, among my favorites.
Definitely love this color combo! Thank you for these gorgeous sketches, it's too pleasant to watch them.
Beautiful and inspiring. Loved the combo. I enjoy simple but very emotional colors.your camera work and subjects are heavenly too.
Love these colors that you used. I loved your sketches. Simple but filled with color and texture. Thanks for these videos.
I absolutely love the colors that you used! Beautiful combination!
I love this colour combo the way you have used it however, I also love your bright colours. I think colour plays a big part in creating mood in a painting. What do you think? Thank you for another lovely video. oxo
I didn't care for the mix of the goethite and cerulean when I saw it on the swatch but when I saw your painting with it I was amazed! Beautiful! Loved the table top one too! Great place, thanks for taking us on your outing! Beautiful place!
"somethimes too much is too much" haha 😄 you are gorjuss. Your Painting was great, is great and your Friend's Work 👌👍. 💌
Muted colours are beautiful, great footage of your part of your world, i did visit France several years ago ,i fell in love with it,i want to go back.
Gorgeous! I love the studio painting and the bistro table as well! thank you for sharing! Moonglow is an amazing color! Best of all, I have it! :)
I love the way cerulean behaves or should I say "misbehaves" in mixes to create stunning unpredictable textures. It loves to drop out of mix and form little clumps of blue or other shades that cling together in clusters. Just loved the pottery painting - So earthy and natural looking! ...do you use Rough or Not surface paper as a rule?
yes yes I like these color combos !!!
I really love the color combo!
Love everything about this video just yes :D
Very nice video 😀👍 I love your three colours they are very subtle.
Really like that combination of colours...off to the store to buy them! Love your painting as usual...
loved the video. I'm on the fence about adding moonglow to my palette, but every time I see you use it, I'm reinspired
For those that don't have Moonglow, the mix is ultramarine blue pb29and viridian pg18 booth granulating, and red pr 177 anthraquinone.
Loved it!!!
Love the video and the paintings! You always do a great job!
Love this color combo! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much Teresa! 😀🙏❤️
Beautiful combo!
I love all 3!
Gorgeous
Love this video, I am a ceramic artist.. would love to see her throwing... great sketches..
Eileen Thank you! I would love too! 😛👍
Eileen Goldenberg ❤️
Loved these color combos...thank you for sharing your talent with us! Jolie!
So lovely. I didn't catch the names of all the basic colors used.
Thanks Regina! 😊 I used Goethite, Cerulean Blue and Moonglow. ☺️ Is that what you didn't catch?!! ☺️
Following the White Rabbit Merci! I never heard of Goethite before and couldn't quite read the tube you pictured. I love the granulation created when you combined the colors.
Lovely colour combination, thank you for sharing. Love the way you make your compositions. I learn a lot from your videos. Enjoy the challenge #30x30directwatercolor2018, still 24 to go 😎. It's not easy but a good learning process for me. You live in a beautiful region, one of my favourites of France.
