Hogtie him to take his hat but do not kill him, when you find him in valentine again, wearing his hat will be enough to set him off and chase you. It is kinda funny.
Even if you kill him, he still shows back up. I believe anyway, I've never shot him, but everytime I see him. I stand there and wait until he's dont yapping, and make him fight me unless I KO him

And John being the father of your GTA Online Protagonist is non-canon, as there are two other protagonists who serve as your Protagonist's father (Niko Bellic and Claude Speed, respectively).
A bit confused how the gta guy connects with the rdr one. Completely different times. That guy would be dead in the events of gta because of how far apart they both are. Overall, I think its just a little easter egg even if they are far apart. I still can agree it's pretty cool tho.

I think they decided to retire the hunter in the saloon in RDR2 since they didn’t want to do the undead nightmare dlc again. Prob why he talks about how things used to be, because that’s all people do when a sequel to a game drops. Fair tho, R* is ass now lol
