Same here. I'm a mountain biker originally and was in the market for a new bike. Came across Terry's vids and have gone down the fixie route. I've never enjoyed being out on my bike more.
I’m living for these consistent uploads!! Just got hit by a car running a red last night. 2 weeks into riding again after 15 years. While me & bike heal I’ll watch these. Ride safe everyone! People driving EXTRA stupid during this pandemic thinking no one else is on the road
You make me want to travel the world and bike I jsut got my first FIXIE and honestly love it more than I thought I would you're videos are magical never stop !
I'm always on my bike and I'd probably consider myself a pretty quick rider, I jump most lights, cut through gaps, go fast to make passages... but riding into on coming traffic and blatantly cutting pedestrians up is another level and kinda selfish. Love the video though of course, big ups!
htdtr if you’ve never use them? Try to get used to it drop bars have many advantages, can swerve better in traffic, drops allow you to reduce drag, drops also give you many resting positions and are better for distance riding
@@brandon1509 I get that, but he never uses them in any video of him I've seen. Which is why I would think he'd be more comfortable on straight bars. The angle of his hands when he's out of the saddle looks awkward and uncomfortable to me.
i cycle a lot, fixed gear, and i've seen a number of these videos riding brakeless, going the wrong way on lanes, jumping lights, cutting crossings, fitting through really tight gaps and sorry i just don't get it. am i missing something? just seems dangerous and unpleasant to other people...
@@PeterSobol sure, however the main advantage of the fixies is their low-maintenance. In other words if the something bike gets broken (like chain, wheel like tyre puncture etc.) you can repair your bike within minutes and continue your daily business which is very important because no tours = no cash.
@UC07Y8KD9sytdN06eFUrgd6w you don't understand - a fixie can be repaired much easier, quicker and cheaper. That's the main point here and not that a fixie never breaks))
Hey Terry, I might have a video idea for you: I feel like there’s a lot of people who watch your videos that want to get into fixies that could benefit from your knowledge... What’s a good starter bike, what’s a more high end one What kind of parts should I look for and/or avoid (how big should gears be, pedals+straps etc.) How to assemble it all and what to look out for(since cooper talked about chain slack) I feel like there’s a lot of potential in all that, since there’s not too many doing these sorts of videos, and the most you find are some generic bike store videos that don’t know their fixies Please consider a tutorial series...I would devour it, since I bought myself a fixed gear and would like to work on it, and/or build one myself
Zack Gallardo does a good job doing fixed gear knowledge videos, and check out the fixed gear reddit and Sheldon Brown's website. There's troves of information on those mediums. The reddit even specifically answers most of those questions you asked
I think Terry already did a vid on a high end bike. He did a vid with the owner of affinity and showed the new Anthem bike. Best part of $10k but a work of art.
Bought my first bike because of your videos, cheers from Japan
What did you get?
Yep I'm now in road biking because of this guy too
Got back into cycling after watching Terry's videos

@@daiwatkins1984 what did you get?
I've never been to NYC, but I begin to recognise places 🍃
I felt like this to!
Lmao same
There's an unexplainable feeling of smoothness watching Cooper pedal on his bicycle. Very rhythmic...
This city looks so filmic and surreal
Cooper Ray needs his own channel!!
Cooper never letting us into the secrets of his bike
You’re videos are so addictive. I use to ride more and I think I’ll start again because of you and this dope channel. Cheers bro
Super sick at 4:00 , filter set up is dope , tunnel is so dark and all the tail lights just pop !!!! Perfect 👌
Nothing better for a shiney new frame then nice damp salty roads.
It don't hurt ti, my guy
3:02 that was the place in the movie "i am legend" ?
good job cooper ray
Rooper Cay: "boy that was boring" LOL

Wow, I hope you can heal up well. Sorry to hear about that.
Cooper wearing a helmet!
Those lenses are so good.
“You’ll see .....Terry ,,,,, lol “
Cooper is so funny !
Red lights, pedestrians, cars be like "am I a joke to u?"
The aliens caused a lot of damage in 2012, crazy how NY rebuilt so quick
I forget how good the cycling is where I live until I go to a city or watch this.
3:52 sick!
Nice and smooth "clip in" with the left foot Cooper! 45seconds in
Crazy to ride in the streets with no fuckin brakes
You make me want to travel the world and bike I jsut got my first FIXIE and honestly love it more than I thought I would you're videos are magical never stop !
How the f**k does he slip into his pedal straps so smooth I nearly come off looking down trying get mine on 😂

Terry treating us to some of that hidden stash ;-) !
He cut the police EZ-PZ @6:30

Finally got a Ti track frame! Ride quality is next level. Can’t wait to ride it through the streets
Only one rule - there is no rules ::::::::::)))))
1110000% pure anarchy!
Thanks for historical trip trough the city!
What brand frame is that? Whole setup looks sick.
No 22 Little Wing
And I think bars are Ti from Deluxe Cycles
Cool stroll
Footage looks like from da 90s for some reason
Terry Barenstein. Aestheticizing bad behaviour since 2015.
This is so good
Remeber it's a Track Bike kkkk. Good video 😊
Do you ever record a Strava with your rides?
Hello Terry. Love your videos. Hotline is awesome. Hoping for more. Please give my regards to Cooper. You both are awesome riders. Stay safe. :)
We all need more slack in life , nice chain ;)
Does he ever use his drops? He'd be more comfortable on straights or risers surely?
Drop bars are better
@@brandon1509 Even if you never use them though? How does that work?

@htdtr that just means he has never done a serious sprint in these vids🙂
damnn cooper ray is legit!
This guy flows so well in traffic.
Running warm AF
i didnt know i have to got to ny city until i saw these videos

true this BUT a messenger must stay in permanent motion
This is a dumb question but do bike messengers ever use a regular bike with a cassette?

Salt....
Vid is from winter
Looking forward to watching this tonight with my GF
And if she doesn't?
Idol cooper 🤩
is that the No 22? does cooper really leave that locked up on the street lol
What are those dropbars?
They’re made by Deluxe.
Look up!
Cooper is such a chain slacker...
The air in New York must be shitty.
5:56 that was tight
Nice camera
2:49 I've seen a zombie 😳
7:32 not his first time 😉
When Rooper gets the sniffles
how does he get into his straps so fucking easily and nonchalant at 0:38 and 0:45. I need help.
cool but crazy (and lucky)
7:32 had to 😂
vids with cooper got me sayin SKRTTT randomly....
Is this legal?

Death-defying.
Inspiring.
In that order.
But why not just...ya' know...slide the rear wheel back to take up the slack?
7:32 eat that!
Gokil coy
No more morning routines?
Go check the community tab. See you tomorrow
your camera's low light performance is a catastrophe. other than that very nice video
@5:54 what the fuuhhh?
cycling into oncoming traffic is pretty much a dickhead move.

Lame

Yuck. So much attitude for a biker/pedestrian
If you made those I give cyclists a bad name shirts look even half decent I’d buy one. Do they intentionally look like that?
