I have the golf 7 1.6 TDI (2016) on 94K miles. I’m noticing the dpf coming on more and more earlier now. I did use a redex dpf cleaner not that long ago. Should I consider putting the spray cleaner in just now? Or leave the thing alone? I also have access the vag-com incase I’d need to force the regen.
Hello, I find your videos very successful. I will apply it to my Opel 1.6cdti. Can you write the application steps? Do you need to rinse with water? Thank you very much for your reply.
@@ORileysAutos take it u just use a old pressure brake bleeder ? Two cleans out a bottle works out alot cheaper than some of the other products out there
@@ORileysAutos thank you what sort of Money would it cost I got my cleaned out and fella asked me £180 to sort ecu out on computer car driving 100 percent now just some light on dash
Can you do this on a VW Passat B8 2015 2.0 TDI? I tried those foam cans you blast through the o2 sensor but no change and still in limp mode. Just worried if it will damage the car further if I do this. With engine on or off?
Hi,how much fluid did you put in? Someone said if I spray it back towards the engine that I'll feck the engine up? How far back did you spray and what king of psi did you have? Also someone ( same person) said the bit your spraying is the catalytic converter,I'm confused please help if you can.thank you😊 SHAUN
Hi thanks for your videos can you tell me what is the Autel diagnostic you use in this video I would like to upgrade my Autel to this one ☝️ cheers tim
Ps my Skoda fabia 1.2tdi GREENLINE wont get hot enough for a regen.ive tried thrashing it down the motorway in a lower gear at 4am almost redlining and it still won't regen.its 2013.my vident ismart 800bt will only regen fabias with a bigger engine? Any advice appreciated, thanks again😊 SHAUN
How ya. Thanks for the vid, I'll be doing that on Saturday. Quick Q.. If a DPF keeps blocking up with no dash warning light, what would be the issue? I've a CAYC A3 2010, and it keeps needing forced regen's seeing as it's not routinely doing it itself. ...Laps of the M50 aren't doing the jobby..
what effect did the clean do to the ash, as the ash is cumulative and from what I can find online, is not removable from a dpf in place cleaning solution
You've got to wonder, is it really worse to have an old diesel which let's those emissions out as and when they're produced, as opposed to trapping them then letting them all out at once when you clean the DPF...
Does this method shift accumulated ash? My current car has covered over 110,000 miles now and the intervals between automatic regens are starting to become shorter. I use BP Ultimate Diesel exclusively, which I hope does help reduce the accumulation of ash.
@@alicebate6384 I do know this. Were you intending to reply to me? Mine uses ACEA C1 or JASO DL-1 rater oil. But there will always be some accumulation regardless of oil SAPS level.
Did you remedy the shorter regens after ? My regens I'm sire shouod be longer gaps ..I know online it says short trips can cause sometimes daily regens mines not Daily. I use acea c3 oil
This will not remove ash, only the soot. If you wanna get rid of the ash you'd need to get it professionally cleaned with a high pressure chemical cleaner
Great job, nice and easy to reach O2 sensor.
Thank you
Great video. .., nice and informative
Thank you 👍🏻

That's fantastic just flush everything on the ground very professionally ...that just great .
I tho8ghy its great to
Where do you think all the rubbish goes when the DPF undergoes regeneration by itself? Straight into the air. This whole system is a joke
At that point is just ash, no more harmfull than dust...

My first DPF car was a 2001 Peugeot 406 2.2 HDi. It didn't cause any issues for me.

Great videos on DPF cleaning. If you don't have a Snap on diagnostic machine can you just drive around for 20-30mins to clean the DPF?
Unfortunately you need diagnostic to trigger regeneration and reset warnings and re adapt it afterwards
Don't have to be snap on mind

Flushing fluid is described as OFF CAR ,so would surges not to be used when DPF is still attached.
perfectly fine using it this way if you know what you are doing, on this skoda it wont back fill into the engine with the amount he used
A good job
And a really ugly thing not to thake that stuff and have it taken to a gas station were clean those kind of things of.
can you pour Wynn's 18985 fluid directly into the filter? in what quality?
Yeah I used this today on my zafira b works perfect

Your oil choice is ultimately what clogs up your DPF! Get an oil designed for diesel cars with DPFs!
