I remember when I had to do this for my mom and I'd often press the stop button by mistake lol sometimes she was already in "the air" and I panicked because the thing wouldn't work anymore, but my mom, she was laughing so hard. lol. It's weird that now she is gone I think of that like it was "the good time".

Jackson is really down lately. I hope he gets better (moodwise).
Still a huge fan ... but so depressing. I miss the old days :-( and I fear for the future. Here's to hope!

This isn't character destruction. It's an accurate depiction of one person trying to adjust to a tragic, life-altering circumstance. Jackson wouldn't be human if he didn't feel otherwise. I fear the road ahead for all of us on Jackson's journey will be dark indeed.
Though I love how well the actor have performed, the writers incredibly made story, and how well everything has been set up I really wished that Jackson didn't have to be in such a situation at least not for a long as it will...Though I can fully understand why these "Means" might be necessary I really wished he would have some type of miracle and even if him and Aaron weren't to get so into each other at least for them to act as they did before, that is like good mates..ah the story is amazing!
@beautifullion69 Bristol is in the south-west, Emmerdale is supposed to be near Leeds in the north.

There are possibilities for tetraplegic hand and elbow surgery which allow restoration of upper limb function. At the 2007 world congress in reconstructive hand surgery and rehabilitation in tetraplegia a resolution was presented and accepted that indicates that every person with tetraplegia should be examined and informed concerning the options for reconstructive surgery of the tetraplegic arms and hands. Emmerdale writers, Give Jackson this treatment and give him some kind of life!

@Handell2 Thats the exact reason most of us here are pretty mad because it was pretty pointless, storywise, to paralyze Jackson. A lot of us like Jackson, maybe more so than Aaron, and it disappoints us that Jackson is treated like a plot device rather than a character in a story. It makes even less sense to put Aaron in another relationship and just pushing Jackson out the door even if Jackson was the one who proposed the idea.

@beautifullion69 erm... over 150 miles I think. Not very far if you compare to distances between cities in the US or Canada but it's not just the next town along :)
I'll never understand why they did this to jackson!! this is depressing..
I guess I'm not the only one who believes what @MetaOvid is saying is true since its hasn't been really clear as to why Jackson needed to be paralyzed in the first place. It wasn't to see a person with a disability overcoming obstacles cuz we don't see enough of Jackson anymore. And it wasn't prove that the same kind of person can maintain a happy and health relationship either.
I'm so disappointed about the direction the writers went with this story. It had potential to be so positive but it's become such a downer. I love that Aaron is maturing, showing love for his mom, but the relationship with Jackson is almost invisible. They have love for each other but not love that will make for a lasting relationship. I've lost interest in the story I couldn't wait for every evening. Maybe someone in the cast will revisit his JP McQueen role and show Aaron how to love a man.

@naomid456 I agree with you completely. I don't want Jackson going anywhere. But DM's cryptic comments to the press indicate more tragedy ahead for Aaron and that Jackson is just one stop in Aaron's journey. (grumble, grumble, grumble).

ok keep question when is this show on yesterday i just finished watching this part and was wondering if it would come on today or if someone could tell me on which days it is shown?
(cont) The only viable explanation to put Jackson in a wheelchair seems to help Aaron grow as a person which in all honesty could have been through the course of his and Jackson's relationship. While Aaron and Jackson staying together couldn't have lasted forever they should have at least treat Jackson like every other character rather than a pretty sad excuse for a plot device.

@patroclus33 You might be right, but don't forget - the Em writers love to give Danny Miller crying scenes. it will still be tragic if Jackson is left in this condition. Marc's contract ends early spring, although his TV mom will be sticking around to at least the end of the year and I have no idea how they'll work that out unless they kill Jackson off - how could Hazel ever let her disabled son go anywhere alone?

@Demetri450 Oh, I quite agree with you regarding Jackson's overall position in the story. It's a wretched development, one that I fear will take a phobic turn - Aaron will have sex with the new guy the night Jackson dies from some infection - thus sending Aaron on another shame spiral and reinforcing the idea that gay love equals tragedy. I'd like to be proven wrong, Emm writers.
What does Jackson say at the end of the clip? 'Fill your boots' or something? What the heck does that mean haha

i know this is aaron's story, but i'd like to know about adam's story too. What has been hapenning in his life lately? what about his junkie sister?
@patroclus33 I can see the merits to your view but then I remember that ominous prop - Jackson's videocamera. Something like that is only introduced so that a character can leave something behind when he passes on. DM has stated that Aaron faces his toughest choice and more tragedy ahead. That could mean he realizes he does love Jackson and can finally say it - only too late. I would very much like to be wrong, thank you.
@sanyrub (cont) have started to recover. This way the joy would have been inmense (for us too) after all the suffering for a whole year and the love story would have been awesome, at least for a long time. But now, Hazel is staying for sure and Jackson not? I don´t see why. But this doesn´t take away the fact this is the best thing I´ve ever watched on tv involving gay characters

Ohhh my baby Jackson!!! You are so lovely... imo the whole story (since March) it´s been stunning (acting, scripts and all that), the best ever done. But there´s one mistake imo. Aaron could have grown equaly if after the accident and the aftermatch Jackson would have not ended paralized. I've read that men, who are paralyzed from the neck down, can still get erections... but they're not psychogenic i.e. from them becoming aroused.... only reflex ones i.e. from being manually stimulated... but they can't 'unload', so to speak, since they can't feel it... but it's more about the emotional connection then... surely if ED was going along the educational route, then Jackson would have had some sex therapist visit him in hospital :-S

@naomid456 Yup. That's exactly why I think Flynn was brought in - to serve as the pivot for another tragedy in Aaron's life. Aaron will embark on a sexual fling with him just as Jackson begins a death spiral. I really shudder to think where this is going.
As much as I appreciate it being REAL, this doesn't make terribly good TV, does it? I hope Jackson regain some mobility whether that be a miracle or a batman wheelchair, just get out of this situation please.

@Boslthrman I mean what's the point of keeping Hazel without Jackson and they can't kill him and what's the point of Joe when Jackson's due to leave a week after he enters! This has just past the point of ridiculous!
