Another great episode. The boys acting skills go from strength to strength. I love the little enderaing looks Aaron gives Jackson. My god Danny looks sooooooo Gorgeous in this scene.

Aaron is really coming along. In spite of the conversation on the night of the accident I think Aaron sincerely loves Jackson, and is up to the long haul. Of course this is a soap, so it might take forever to hear "I love you".
I love how they are giving Jackson a bed-bath with the blinds open for all to see!! HA!
Aaron missed a great opportunity by not sticking around to learn about sponge baths. And he could have volunteered to do them from then on.
I hoping that things will work out in the end for both Aaron and Jackson! His Mom is just super!
I certainly wouldn't mind giving Marc Silcock a bedbath. Woohoo!!

I am so happy Aarson is back but this story line i fear is only going to bring more and more heartbreak and you know the saying. When it rains it poors!! i am thinking we are just at teh beginning of a typhoon :(

No mather how intimate you have been with your boyfriend it's all about dignity. I remember when my grandfather got so old he couldn't take a shower by himself he didn't want my grandmother to help him, so he got a young female nurse and he was happy, but he didn't want his wife to see him being so helpless.
Jackson still has a nice body.
Sigh. So sad to see Jackson like this. I really can't stand it. Such a tragedy. Is there any way at all that there might be a Christmas miracle? The PTB simply cannot let Jackson end up like this. God, but I really really love Hazel for being such a wonderful mother.
@kuvasz13 I agree.. Marc Silcock has been exemplary in his role of Jackson. It is very hard word to stay stiff as a board all day long.. yes you get breaks from time to time but .. you go back to what you were doing and in same position and stiff again. not easy. His one liners are fantastic and think he is teh comic releif Aaron and Hazel need to get them through all this
Being like a nursing assistants for Jackson...at 18...that will be hard.. the intimate things that needs to be done...but i was that age when I went to school and practicing in the hospital ... to be a nursing assistant..

@eba861 I think he understood why Aaron was unconfortable and left. He is glad because Aaron is sticking around and didn't abondoned him after the crash.
It seems like Jackson has always been the *caring guy! He always thinks for others where he should be thinking about himself (his current situation). It's not easy for anyone like Jackson (Marc) to act like this: always have to lie in bed and can't even move. So I think the producers should really treat our Jackson (Marc) better, let him be with the man that he loves (aaron) and of course let him walk again!! Whereas Aaron, honestly i think he has really tried his best to bear his cocern!!
I hope that aaron gives him a kiss some day soon.. I want him to lean down to Jackson and look him in the eye and say : I'm here for you Jackson. Hold his face in his hands and kiss him... I want them to be affectionate again
@thorium222 honestly, i totally think you have a point. I've been noticing that lately with gay storylines and it's completely UNFAIR!!! :(
@thorium222 I get what you are saying about the gay characters stuff but I think in this case they are just trying to show a different side of Aaron. And how Jackson really does change him (make him better) rather than him being angry all the time. And up til now Jackson still chimes in with is humor, at least he hasn't lost that. It's cute the way they laugh with each other now.
they hve done this too short he's been in emmerdale for about 4 months and they are getting rid of him i love jackson

Hey I hear you and when I see Jackson in that state all I can think about is the "Late" Christopher Reeve, and how he was paralyzed from the neck down I really miss him. I loved him as Clark Kent/Superman.
I don't like this helpless Jackson, he didn't deserve to be put in this position. And I keep wondering what would happen. Would Jackson be able to feel again and if so would they still be together? And if something does happen are they not going to be together? I can't really see Aaron with someone else...no I don't want see him with no one else but Jackson...

lol i agree tho.. that they should definately give Marc more . I am hopeing after this storyline ends somewhat in spring.. we will get him to be able to stick around along with Hazel :)
I loved this scene. I am not too happy with the "tease" writers at ITV however. They made it seem like our Aaron was going to flip out over this stuff. I know from experience, so far, the story line is very true to life. Jackson has a level head, for now, but, it will turn when the reality sinks in, and then it will likely turn again and again. Go boys, you rock!
I wonder if Robert knows any of this past life of Aaron beside the abuse.

i really enjoy emmerdale i don't think i every seen u.s soaps go into detail on how to bathe and postion a bedreddin person.i love that emmerdale is reallistic.
@thorium222 I hate to say it, but I think you are right! Because this show goes out at 7pm there is very little intimacy between A & J and this is a good way for the producers to avoid showing it!
I also hate seeing Jackson in this condition. I have really grown fond of his character and it is breaking my heart. We have gone from an "over the top" accident to an "over the top" outcome!
The only good point is that Danny and Marc are still acting their socks off! Bless 'em!
@AlanRM1000 each person is different and there is a fine line on what is okay and not. what is possible to say and do with for one person may not be okay for another ... you have to read people and see what they are like...have a classmate who works at the hospital now and I can say that if I got sick and she would take care of me ..... I get chills just thinking about it .... I was not good at tests or essays in school, but i could read people..she was more of mix of queen & bully...
They should have let Jackson be okay and him and Aaron be happy, arguing but happy. Still together than with Robert or Marco
I don't think Aaron lost his composure at all. Like Jackson said, anybody except for maybe a mother would be freaked out. But I do like how in-tune they are to what the other is thinking, especially when Jackson makes it okay for Aaron to leave.
@Sushi266 I agree with you, it is not the same thing......and I might not have had both of them there as the same time if it was me that was going to show theme how to care for him ...... but I think that Jackson should have something to say about it too .... But What do i know...i do´t work as one enymore....
I'm not sure how much longer I can watch this, I'm getting so depressed watching Jackson in this state. It's so not fair! Although I love Aaron and am a huge fan,I think if anyone should have been paralyzed it should have been Aaron NOT Jackson! The only thing that Jackson has been is a positive element since day one, while Aaron has broken the law countless times,vandalised a grave site,sold a dodgy car,beat up Paddy.the list goes on! Why is it that all gay storylines have 2 b mared w/tragedy?
@AlanRM1000 i probably didn't express myself properly, I meant that you wouldn't want any family member to see you in that position, it is much easier with a stranger, and it doesn't matter wether it is a male or female nurse, it's a proffesional like when you go to the doctor. I don't think they gave Jackson a lot of dignity in this episode with them being there to watch and him not having anything to say about it. And why did you mention Aaron's temper? hes been on his best behaviour lately.

I am so depressed at most of the gay storylines. I swear they are all in cahoots with one another. :(
So many people will be having psychiatric issues when this and some other storylines are done.

They should have had Aaron give Jackson the sponge bath. It's been indicated that they've had sex, despite the lack of this drama's creators to show it beyond words. As far as i'm concerned, they've missed a great opportunity to write a briiliant scene. This would be that Jackson's body responds to Aaron's touch as would any young man to his lover Ah, the missed opportunites!
The nurses aide needs to close the blinds before washing a patients bits.

@dipsyhappy on that i agree.. I think Jackson should have had that done in private.. At least until The dr. gives the order for teh family to be in there. They should also ask Jackson if he wants family there.
I think in teh States it is like that... when it is that time.. only family or significant others are allowed but only if dr. says and patient is ok with it.

I agree that she should have firstly gained his consent and asked him did he mind them staying, also what the fuck was she using hibiscrub for, that would never happen, the stink of the stuff, its only using in surgical settings. more than likely he would not have had a male nurse, unless he requested one and there was one available. however he didnt seem to mind that they were there, the sad thing is, with his injuries he needs full care. omg i am such a student nurse, lol.

Yeah of cause he would have. But Aaron is just 18 in here. And he just came out, not just to others but also to himself. He was a really unsecure guy and caught in self distraction and guilt. They slept with each other just once and Jackson was the first and only guy Aaron ever was with. I remember how insecure I was when I was younger...
@patroclus33 here's the thing being a student nurse, and its one of the annoying things ive seen, some people talking to the older person, like they were a child, I get where your comming from, i think its ignorance on her part altough i would have to say i dont think she really meant any harm, but i agree if i was jackson, i would be telling her to speak to be like a normal person, and not some kind of dimwit, but jackson is better than me... plus i would have thrown her a few cursed words !!

@HappyMishner Congratulations! :) I hope it makes your relationship better. My dad suprised me last year by asking me if I'm gay. I told him yes and he's been great. Not what I expected. I hope you have the same if not better results.
@eba861 I think 1 he knew how much it was making Aaron uncomfortable but I also think that he is very very uncomfortable and embarrassed by the whole situation. I know he dnt really show it but I think that is what alot of his humor is about to help hide this. I have never been in Jacksons situation but I have been in hospital so ill Ive had to have most things done for me and I have to say it is the most undignifying thing in the world and just think that is his BF.... bedbaths r embaressing!

Disappointed in Aaron.. A caring chap would have wanted to wash Jackson and to spare him the humiliation of being washed by women. The character of Aaron at times is not at all realistic and that is down to the production staff and Danny. :-(

@thorium222 I bet anything that a large percentage of the writers for these soaps are gay themselves, if anyone's responsible for the intimacies preventions it's the producers.
