You read 12 out of 14 books and still think that was a lose? No way! Even with those 2 not finished at time of recording, that's still a win. You did not deserve that extra black hole.
haha I have since looked at the amount I have left in Nightshade and Flashback, and at that time I had more than I thought lol I feel a little tricked by Audible, but really it's on me.
Yay! I didn’t like the bridgerton books but what is an absolute hit are those covers! Absolutely stunning! It doesn’t even matter if the story inside is luke warm, those books are so pretty they earned their place in any bookcase.
Agreed! These are the most beautiful editions and I honestly am so sad I don't like the books, but definitely going to be keeping them because they bring me joy 😁
Indeed Wheel Of Time books are thick. I am currently reading Dragon Reborn and I started in mid-May. I was at the edge of my seat hoping you don't fall in a black hole.
Okay thought. I mean I know we all love to see you hit all the worm holes, but what if in future games, the additional worm holes you hit, you can remove them after you hit them? So that you don’t run the risk of hitting the same spot again and again
Oooh that's an idea. I will say, though, I think this is the first time I have hit one of the "punishment" wormholes more than once. And not just in the same game.
I was not a huge fan of Bridgerton Books, but as a romance reader of over 20 years for Historical Romance I would recommend the Wallflower series by Lisa Kleypas, Girl meets Duke series by Tessa Dare, or the Madison Sisters by Lynsay Sands. For a standalones Amanda Quick (Ravished) and Julie Garwood is really good.
Thanks!! I will have to give at least a few of those a try before I decide that historical romance isn't for me. Because I have found the spice and even a lot of the romance is just not to my taste and was thinking it might just be the time period.
I'm so sad to hear that you didn't love the Bridgerton books. Aside from book 2, i've loved all of them so far (i've only read the first 4 so far). I hope Francesca's story will be better for you than the other ones 🩷
I feel like I have enjoyed them all at the beginning, and then as time goes on I just can't get on board with the relationships and how some things are handled. Which is a shame because they have all started out so promising!
I listened to the ARC of Can’t Spell Treason and I gave it 3 stars . The story format was not my favorite but I still think about it and might reread with my eyes and re-review it.
What a great TBR, you deserve this easier stack. (I can't believe you managed as much of the May TBR as you did!). I'm halfway through reading Can't Spell Treason without Tea right now. I'd seen it as a sale book for my Kindle several times, thought it might be a bit "cheesy", and passed on buying it. Then I saw it at my library and decided to give it a go. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it.
I read it this weekend and quite enjoyed it as well. I does have some of the cheesy solutions to problems, I felt, but overall it was fun and cozy and I had a good time with it.
I REALLY thought it was going to be like the past couple months after you got the second black hole but it really turned around and was so nice after that rocky start!! Can’t wait to see you complete this and what you think of the books.
Oh you definitely won this round! You did not lose imo!! xD Ohhh why did you DNF Manacled? I finished it, but I can think of a few reasons why you would, plus I'm nosey. Gleam was just as enjoyable as book two imo. The comets are the MVP this round! This stack is amazing! I definitely have good vibes about it! Time to start thinking which black hole you're gunna remove 😎
Honestly, I was so into Manacled when I first started it, but it started to drag for me and I just am not in the headspace to sit with a super long book when nothing is happening and it's quite repetitive. If it were a regular book I would say it needed serious editing, but that's not really fair since it's a fanfic haha. I might go back to it sometime, it's a soft DNF for now.
@@stephaniesbookverse1098 I totally agree! A lot of the middle chunk dragged because there was no traditional story pacing. But in the end it was a fun read. If you ever get (back) into a fanfic mood, I hope you continue it.
Only didn't read 2 of last month's crazy TBR!? It's such a shame you still had to take a punishment because I'm impressed 🥲 I've also read and not really enjoyed the Bridgerton books. I only went as far as book 4 and went "good enough" for the series, though I may be tempted into reading Francesca's book.
I have now read Francesca's book and can say that you don't need to bother lol if you didn't like the others, this one wasn't better in my opinion. Super disappointed in this series, really.
I feel like the series has so much potential to be amazing, but I agree, they don't really make me feel anything. The concept is cool, but execution just not quite to my taste I guess.
The comets have BRUNG!!! 🎉 and you did so good with the monstrous May TBR…
Comets SAVED me this month! Honestly TBR would be practically doubled without them haha
Wow! This month worked incredible! I can't believe it went so well with all those black holes. You got this girl!
haha thank you! The Comets were honestly the real MVPs of the month.

Yay for a smaller TBR. X
🎉🎉🎉
About time the game was nice to you! Now no slacking and get that black hole off the board!

Woohoo! A great round. The first 2 rolls had me worried 😅
ME TOO!! Honestly was preparing for another 15+ book TBR.
The game went so well this time around! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Crave. I’m reading the second book sometime this month.
I have seen so many of the books in that series on Book Outlet, so I might need to stock up.
I mean, I know that you had one book you didn't start - but man htat was so well done as you had started the other!
I listened to the ARC of Can’t Spell Treason and I gave it 3 stars . The story format was not my favorite but I still think about it and might reread with my eyes and re-review it.
Wow, you did such an awesome job trying to complete that impossible TBR!

Great round! The game was extra nice even with starting off on a black hole. I hope your reads go well. Have a great month.
Started off rough, but is was just a psych out haha

I know! That start was so rough, I was positive it was going to be another month of 15+ books, but the comets really came in clutch haha
The dice were nice to you this month after the rough start. Happy reading!
I was pretty nervous at the beginning, but it turned out so well!
I DNFd Legends and Lattes but loved Can't Spell Treason!
I really enjoyed both! I feel cozy fantasy is just my vibe
Oh you definitely won this round! You did not lose imo!! xD

@@stephaniesbookverse1098 Thanks for taking the bullet on this one 😂 I'll skip out on reading any more Bridgerton books!
I enjoyed crave. It has so many different magical creatures other than vampires but it definitely was just a fun read.
Agreed! I enjoyed it more than I was expecting, honestly. It's such a CW type story and definitely delivered on that.
Sounds like I’ll just keep going with the Bridgerton TV show and not tackle the books 💜
I also clump my filming and do it in bulk
I loved the Craved series! I hope you like it too!
I'm really hoping I will! It would be fun to read the whole series with my niece.
if you finish your tbr super fast, you should be allowed to film the next one soon and have more than a month to finish it I think👀
I agree
😶 I have never thought of this but now I am very intrigued...especially since July is going to be such a crazy month for me.
When He Was Wicked is the best in the series by far! I hope you enjoy it. 💖
It's so interesting to hear which book people love the most in this series. I feel this one and Anthony's I hear the most.
@@stephaniesbookverse1098 I think it's because they're the romances that feel the most "earned" or developed, if that makes sense?
I don’t think you should’ve counted the space you start on because if you didn’t the 27 space would’ve had the black hole already on it
I was hoping it would be on it, but I think I would have still been one past.
I love your game! It’s so unique :)
Thank you so much!
The game was soo nice to you!!
It was! I felt super lucky after that start.
@@stephaniesbookverse1098 it felt bad that you didn't even have another black hole to add aha
Soon 5000 subs . A Live Party Book would be nice
Oh that sounds like a great idea! I will have to keep an eye on it so I can prepare for that ☺
I am so glad the game finally cut you a break
Me too! I needed some time to just mood read.
I never made it beyond the 1st book in the Plated Prisoner. The book just didn't do it for me. But I love to covers T.T
I feel like the series has so much potential to be amazing, but I agree, they don't really make me feel anything. The concept is cool, but execution just not quite to my taste I guess.
❤📚📚❤️
I only read the 4th Bridgerton book and wasn't impressed. I much prefer the show
Agreed. The show is much better in my opinion.
I found Crave kind of cringey, but the rest of the series gets way better.
I am very much expecting cringy haha kind of like a teenage CW show.
