    Thank You very much for doing these amazing videos. I bought a used 206rb-1 not knowing anything about sewing machines and ended running into some problems. I am sure I would have not been able to fix it without your help. Thanks again I really appreciate the time you put into these videos and all the knowledge.

    Again, an excellent tutorial! 1:05:26 is a great guide. I sooo wish this video was out back when I bought my used Consew 206RB and only had the woefully vague service manual with terrible pictures. It is why I made my two videos on the Consew 206RB in my channel.

    I just want to say Thank you again for the comprehensive videos! The tension adjustment made at 1:09:35 cured my ugly looping on backstitch that was driving me crazy :) I kept trying to use the thread tension knob to adjust it but what do I know ... lol Now that I've watch these videos you've made I learned I was way off target.

    This is an outstanding tutorial . This works for a few machines which are all designed exactly the same. Seiko STH 8BLD and mine which a Harrison and is exactly the same as the Consew RB206 -1 .

    Superb instructions and demonstrations. I only wish that your sewing machine expertise was matched by your cinematographic skills. ;-) The world would be an even better place if more people were willing and able to share their knowledge and expertise like you do. Have you given any thought to similar videos on other popular models or other popular brands of industrial sewing machines? Like most people, they have more in common than they do differences.

    The reason you will get a different stich lenght after setting for a certain stich is a machined part that controls the calibration is not machined properly.

    thank you so much! i was about to get rid of my 206 rb5 because the vibrating foot doesn't lift as high as the presser foot especially compared to my pfaff 545. now i know why and will adjust tomorrow.

    I think this tutorial is fantastic. I have watched it several times while trying to fix a machine. But I still have one problem that I can not figure out what adjustment to make to fix it. When I go to sew a couple stitches, 1st stitche looks great second or third stitch I get a loop it my upper thread and the thread breaks. Any suggestions.

    Great instructions!
    Thank you very much.
    A question about bobbin loading:
    User manual appears to show that with bobbin is in the bobbin case, it should rotate clockwise while pulling the thread and looking at the bobbin.
    Some internet sources suggest otherwise, and I feel that the thread goes out smoother with counterclockwise rotation....

    • @winfoley

      My consew 226r is top loading and counter clock too.

    These videos really helped me understand my new machine. I have a problem though I can’t find help on though. I sew, do embroidering plus I have used a serger. The problem I’m having with my consew is I’ve gotten the thread from my needle stuck in the housing where my bobbin goes. Now my needle won’t move. I tried resetting the clutch but the entire bar under the sewing machine isn’t moving. When it was shipped to me there was a piece of leather in the machine, the walking foot was down and the needle was down in the leather. When I lifted the foot and needle to remove the leather, it was extremely difficult. What do I need to do to fix this?

    • @2004mikea
      @2004mikea 6 лет назад +2

      Virginia, sounds like you have thread bound up between the rotary hook and the bobbin case holder. Take a look under the hook (between the hook and bobbin case holder) and see if you can see broken thread pieces. If so, you'll need to remove it.
      On the outside of the rotary hook there are about 7 miniature (tiny ... tiny ... tiny) screws that hold 2 different plates onto the rotary hook. I think there are 4 screws on 1 plate and 3 on the other. What you need to do is use a small jeweler's screw driver and remove the plate that is the actual hook (I believe this one has 4 screws). Once you get the hook plate off, you will be able to clear any thread.
      If possible, try to take the screws out while keeping the rotary hook attached to the machine ... it'll save you from having to make all the rotary hook adjustments afterwards.
      CAUTION:
      1. The screws are 2 different sizes. Keep them separate and oriented so you can put them back in the right place.
      2. Put a small towel or rag under the rotary hook area to catch the screws in case you drop them.
      Hope this helps.

    Thank you so much for this instructions. But as you said dont consume... So I've got new consew premier 1206rb1 which is slitly different from this one. I was able to adjust about everything, but one adjustment. Forward and backward stitch lengths are same only at some stitch length - 5mm but at smaller or bigger stitch length they became different. How can I solve this problem. Thank you any way.

    I’m having trouble timing the needle with the vibrating pressure foot hitting the plate as you showed in the first segment of this video part 2. On mine the needle is through the hole when the foot hits the plate on the back side and the front side. I tried making the adjustment as recommended but even though it is balanced it still won’t time correctly with the foot. Can anyone help me understand this?

    • @sachahanigan4769
      @sachahanigan4769 3 года назад

      I’m having a similar issue - no matter what adjustments I make and how closely I follow the video, the needle is either perfectly timed with the vibrating foot for the downward stroke but then too slow coming out at the upward, or vice versa. I can’t seem to get them balanced - it’s like the needle rotation is too slow no matter how I adjust that rear cam. I haven’t been able to find anything on sewing forums to help me figure it out, and it’s driving me nuts!

      Needle gauge(thickness)perhaps? I am just learning, (after 40 years sewing as an upholsterer) but the tread weight is tied to the Needle gauge and vice-versa. There are charts to confirm proper Needle for your preferred thread

    At this point (ruclips.net/video/8ROVK2bKObU/видео.html) you want to count 10 stitches and that turns the 4.5mm into 4.5cm, which is easy to measure in the ruler, so no need to divide anything.
