  • Alrighty. I will have links alittle later incase this video uploads before i get back.
    In this video i took the dualtron Victor for a max distance Range test. We put all of the P setting on the eye controller to maxed out and did this test in eco mode with the motor dial set on Dual motor. This test was freaking painful but rewarding. This will give you guys an idea on how far you can take the victor if you really try. This test does havee room for improvement if your rider weight is less then my 204lbs and you ride a route that is just about completely flat. For now enjoy the video and thank you guys so much fo your support on this Dualtron victor journey as i am happy to share this content with you! Keep an eye out for any links or just look at some of my previous videos for some useful links.

    My man thank you for making this video. If like to see with you going fast and/or stop-go. I only use dual motor on these things. The single mode will burn out the controller. I just adjust acceleration before the ride so I still can get a smooth ride without being jerked around from the acceleration

    You can burn the controllers out going long distances in single motor. MiniMotors suggests always riding in dual. Great range on the Victor. Nice vid👍🏽

      Thank you very much. I may ask them to sponsor that video so if that controller goes out, they can send me another one just for research purposes lol. I'm about to do a range test here in another 20mins from the death valley junction to the pay kiosk in death valley. I've been trying to get out here for the longest. It's a 2009ft incline and outside temps will be 90-95°f. Stay tuned my guy lol

      Also. I always wonder about the single motor. My Ninebot max for example. Yes it has a 7.5a controller 350w rear motor. It weights around 42-43lbs and it runs single motor. I did an unofficial range test with it and my Dualtron in 102°f heat up aomg 992ft incline and neither scooter batted an eye. My victor was I'm dual mode and so I think. Yesy victor is alittle less then twice the weight of my Ninebot, but also has like 6x the power. Why couldn't the victor do the same in single motor mode I ain't riding it hard?
      My range test are pretty easy on the equipment I'm testing in general. So I would think they would be fine. But I guess we'll see. This is why I do this stuff.

      O I'm loving it. I was just shooting a video yesterday and I was like man the victor is a good scooter for the size. The power vs range vs it's portability is just dam good. I'm glad I bought. It was was a tossup between It and the thunder. The guy at the minimotors store asked me a few questions like will it be my normal mode of transportation, do I plan on traveling with it? What type of rider I was, he said if I was talking to him on the phone or via email, he would have asked me a out my weight and height. He said from everything he gathered, it looks like the victor was going to be the better buy vs what it sounded like I needed vs what the scooters were offering. So I got the victor and it's like man. I really think I made a good choice. Yes more speed and range would be nice, but this victor has been satisfying me so far. Thank God I dont have any friends with superior machines. I'm sure that would mess with my satisfaction for the victor 👀

      And about the victor dying out here. Lol I know right!. At least of the 17miles with this 2009ft elevation climb like 14.3miles of it will be straight downhill. So if it did die, I won't have very far to walk it where I could just coast it downhill. I'm gearing up for the trip now and I'm thinking about doing it in single motor mode 👀. I think it would make the video better. Man screw it. I'm doing it in single motor mode 👀👀

      Thank you very very much on the compliment.
      In this video I had my mount on top of my helmet using my GoPro hero 9 Inside one of those foam covers to block out the wind.
      Where do I recommend you mount yours? I think it depends on the type of helmet you have. I have a chin mount on my motorcycle helmet and with the helmet In this test which is more of a "skater" helmet, I have it mounted on the top.
      I really like both mounting positions but I would say the chin mount is better if you want the viewers to see your handlebars and eye controller more then go for the chin mount. Also depending on what camera you use, you might not need any external microphones for audio quality IFFF you plan on talking while riding in your videos.
      vs mounted on top will give people more of a view of everything around you and not so much of a view of your dash and handlebars.
      The chin mount I have on my motorcycle helmet is this one: QKOO Motorcycle Helmet Chin Mount Kit for GoPro Hero 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, Session, 3+, 3, 2, 1, Hero (2018), DJI Osmo Action, AKASO, SJCAM, Xiaomi Yi Action Cameras www.amazon.com/dp/B091HXYQ6B/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_70NVRXXV82518RHRM029?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Also....I usually would mount my GoPro in it's media mod when I use the chin strap. The good thing about the media mod is it comes with a wind muff over the microphone and I can choose to get the audio from the rear facing microphone which points right at my face. I I've said this before but I wish I could ride all of the scooters out there so I could really give you guys the most unbiased...accurate information I could think of but here's what I want you to do:
      - make a list of wants
      - make a list of needs
      After you've done this, figure out what type of rider you are and how you intend to use your next scooter. Now figure out which one fits those wants and needs the best. If it's too close to call, pick whichever is most appealing to you.
      - I personally was looking for something as portable as possible
      - that could at least do 50miles on a charge.

      - water resistant
      - durable

      - Both decks seem cramped but at least the vsett has a foot rest to give you that extra foot area
      -ip 54 ratings are always attractive to me. I don't plan on riding in rain, but I don't want to be restricted to dry weather either. I travel with my scoot and practicality is one of my main concerns

      The victor DOES have tubes in the tires. At 200-204lbs (rider weight) I run 50psi. I have a friend who is 245lbs and with gear maybe about 263lbs. I actually keep his tires at 50psi as well but maybe I should make it 53-54psi.
      With tubed tires especially I wouldn't worry about the max psi on the sidewalk of the tire because you aren't actually filling that tire with air but are the inner tube. The dualtron community stands by the 50psi rule. It keeps us away from flats. I would run 50-52psi in your wolf for comfort and 53-54psi for tire longevity and more range

      So my version of a true range test is getting the most miles per charge. I couldn't count riding fast to see how far I can go while riding 30-40mph because it isn't consistent enough of a riding style to call a true range test.
      HOWEVER!!!! I am open to the idea. I just need a good route to do this on. I'm my area (or at least where I live) they aren't used to nor familiar with these high performance scooters. They are only used to the 15mph rentals. I stopped telling people how fast it really go to keep them from getting "hot" on these skreets lol. But anywhuuu I will do a high performance range test. @Jonasegway  2 года назад +1

      Yes. They drop performance but a good amount. I will be uploading another range test on my test course but in single motor mode. I put the output to 75%, no turbo mode, kept the speed around 13-14mph total avg and it ran out of juice just over 62miles. I was expecting much more. To give you an idea on what I was dealing with, I started my ride with the temps around 42°f. Battery was depleting pretty quick till the outside temps got close to 70°f and by then I had only 30% battery left.
      I've noticed the battery consumption decrease by alot at that time but like I said, it was kinda too late. 62miles might not be bad to most but this is with me riding economically. Riding fast would have probably only given me 25miles and riding in exploring mode maybe just 40-45miles.
      I explain in a near future video 3 different riding modes. I have a fly mode, explore mode and economy mode.
      As far as a bigger battery scooter goes, you have to buy the scooter that meet your needs. Think about the 'practical' range that you require, the portability, reliability, IP ratings, weight, customer service from any specific brand or dealer.
      Other sub categories can come into play like lights (turn signals, brake lights), horn, durability etc. The victor met my needs more then anything available for the price when I got it. I needed that portability, light weight and range (although I wanted alittle more range, this is probably the best I can get for the size without spending $7000++ (i.e. rion models)

    Why 12 MPH average. This scooter isnt suppose to be driven that slow. Would be much more interesting if the test was without limitations - you just drive as fast you feel it fits the situation. Thats the real test since thats how you will use it.

    • @Jonasegway
      @Jonasegway  2 года назад +2

      I only want to sit you down in the chair in front of me and ask you a serious question. You ready? Ok here goes .......
      Do you truly believe everyone rides without limitations?
      No there are two questions. The second question is what does the word RANGE mean to you? The word RANGE has two different variables. It has a maximum value and a minimum value. This video expresses the maximum range attainable at a specific weight given the conditions. NOT the minimum. Now do you understand why the avg speed was 12-13mph?
      I always want to let you know, this is how I personally ride. I like to take loong rides so riding this slow is exactly what I do. This video is basically for those people who like to get the absolute most out of their batter range.
      I have a friend who likes to use his scooter on group rides and when the spring time comes back, I will do another minimum but realistic range test for people like you who may be "faster" riders so you have an idea on what the minimum range would be for this particular model and the other two scooters i have.
      I am sorry it will take me a few months to produce those videos because the distances covered would be drastically low if I did these test now.
      If you have any questions regarding this scooter or any questions in general, let me know. I have almosy 800miles on my Victor and 800miles on my ninebot Max. I do have some information on range while riding faster

Having a touch screen version would be so much more convenient.
      If I had an affiliate/discount link I would give it to you but I don't. So I want you to look at all of the sellers on your Google search and pick whichever will be best for you! Maybe wait till black Friday to buy one to get it alittle cheaper.

    İs this LG battery or chine battery

      That is a very good question. I want to say Chinese battery but after all of these years and all of these miles, the battery still performs great for it's age so it might not matter

      O man there are waaay too many variables to tell. Like waaaaay too many but if I simplified it and emulated what I did with mine with a 24ah setup, I would say 50-55miles TOPS.
      My Nami is a 32ah scooter and weighs 30lbs more then my Victor and gave me about 25miles more range just to put it into perspective.

      Remember....that's perfect condition, eco friendly riding. Having at least 45-48psi in the tires, your body weight can't be too much more then 195lbs (the lighter you are from there, the better your range), it can't be pretty windy, your route can't really have any sorta serious hills, delicate acceleration, onboard ights turned off, healthy battery.....stuff like that. After 3kmiles on the odometer I am willing to bet my 30ah Victor won't give me more then 60-65miles of range.

    You can tell me how much miles i can drive with speed 24 miles/h

    • @Jonasegway
      @Jonasegway  5 месяцев назад

      Ok so at 24mph at 195lbs depending on the temperature and type of route (hills, gravel) you should get 30-35miles and at that range you should have about 15% battery left.
      These can all vary but when I hard charge the entire battery, I've never gotten less then 33miles on a charge.
      The lower the battery gets below 20% the slower you should ride to avoid (stressing) the battery cells. Definitely let it cool before recharging (if you could) to extend the battery's lifespan

      @@Jonasegwayokay thanks for responding, i can ask you one more time something? I have a fast charger you can talk something about this ? And i can take little load maybe 1-2 hour's or only full load is possible?

    • @Jonasegway
      @Jonasegway  5 месяцев назад

      @@andrzejandrzej67 yes yes no problem. So it depends on the fast charge you have. I have a 6.5a fast charger and a 1.75a regular charger. When I combine my 6.5a and 1.75a chargers to charge, it takes around 6hrs to charge if my battery is around 15%

    • @andrzejandrzej67

      @@Jonasegwayyes i have 6.5 too, but I can take small charge, maybe from 60% to 100%, or only full from 15% to 100%

      @Jonasegway  5 месяцев назад

      @andrzejandrzej67 ahhh yes. Try not to charge over 75% battery unless you know you will ride the scooter within 10hrs. These batteries lose a lot of life when they stay above 75% charge for too long without discharging
