The homemade gifts are the best. We have a tradition throughout our family that we all make a homemade gift for everyone each year. It is the best to see those gifts through out time. They always remind you of the loved one that made it and brings you back to the joy of celebrating Christmas with them. It doesn't matter how elaborate or how simple the gift is. Sometimes family members even team up to make gifts and of course parents help their kids to make something as well. Those can be the most special to me anyway because I know the time they spent together crafting that gift also made a great memory for them.

It does; I agree. But at small volumes it is difficult. Buy the hat, the embroidery work and then pay the person to do the work. It adds up. There is about $5 profit in each hat and I receive $1 of it. If we made 1000's of hats instead of 50 or 60 it could get much cheaper.

Hello Family Koch, let me ask you, was your father from Germany? Because the name Koch is German and means cook, did you know that? We've been watching your channel for a while now, me, Dr.med.Washington Reiss, my son Joel Reiss, my sub-daughter Inês Reiss, my Sub-Brinho Francisco Reiss, they were the ones who saw the first video and then I started watching it because you live on a farm , I grew up on a farm here in Germany 🇩🇪 but my Father is Swiss 🇨🇭German, my Mother was from Lisbon Portugal 🇵🇹, but my Father came to Germany because of his company when I was 14, so I've lived 40 years ago years in Germany now I'm 54 years old my son is 21 years old. We love going to the United States, we've been there 9 times in various cities. I work once a year as a doctor without borders through Unicef and doctors without borders. I've seen multiple RUclipsrs imply this now. Raycons are NOT hearing protection!! The noise cancelation is great, but it doesn't protect your hearing.

Oh, and I'd like to know the difference between ear buds like air pods vs these. I have worn air pods and they don't seal up my ear like an ear plug does. The Raycons seal up in my ear like ear plugs and even when they are not turned on they block out noise. So I'm curious on the difference. For reference, I had a pair of ISOtunes ear plug style headphones a few years back and they didn't block out enough noise to hear the music when mowing. This is a great topic of discussion so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I want to know the specifics! What's the best?

@@digdrivediy Hey, Neil! Thanks for the response. While it's possible the Raycons work as hearing protection for you, it is highly dependant on the user's ear. I haven't been able to find testing specific to Raycon, there is testing data of several other Active Noise Canceling (ANC) earbuds that show ANC is not adequate for hearing protection. ANC cannot respond fast enough to protect hearing from things like gunshots or hammer strikes. And due to the way ANC works, by playing back the inverse soundwave, it's just not possible to lower the overall volume enough. Again, it's just down to how the earbuds fit your individual ears if it really offers any protection.
Aside from the technical aspects, I feel comfortable claiming Raycons are not hearing protection based on their marketing. Two main things stand out to me. #1. Nowhere in any of their marketing material do they mention their products will or can protect hearing. I've also seen ad reads where the host is reading the marketing talking points, and they never mention hearing protection. And the main reason, #2. Nowhere on their website can you find the NRR, or Noise Reduction Rating, nor any of the other (inter)national standards. To be approved on an OSHA jobsite, the product must have an NRR. Same for Europe and their standard. Raycon spends big bucks marketing their products in the US and Europe. If they felt their product was safe as hearing protection, they'd have definitely done the testing.
Personally, I'm not a fan of in-ear hearing protection at all. I think they rely far too much on the individual, especially for products like the isoTunes earbuds. I don't think any company has mastered quality, consistent in-ear hearing protection with audio. The human ear varies so much!

$50 for a grabber. God damn, that's a rip off

It's made of metal so that's going against it for being too cheap. Link me to 60" that is cheaper and I'm all ears.

@@digdrivediy I am in germany so pricing is a bit different here, but after a quick search I've found a couple that are metal, up to 60" long and under 25€.
Here is one, admittedly it's a bit more expensive at ~35€, but it's telescoping up to 80", metal and specifically made for pond cleaning, so I thought it fits quite well for what you are using it for.
They're called EasyPick by OASE. I wanted to link but then the comment gets deleted.
Edit: nvmd, you have the exact same pliers listed on the Homedepot for double the price I would pay here in germany on their online shop. That's rough, maybe it's not that bad of a deal after all in the US.

I bought a new 4052M from KENN-FELD in Woodburn, IN. They would not give me a JD tee shirt. They gave me a KENN-FELD tee shirt! Cheap a.. salesman , I won't buy anything else from them without a tee shirt up front first. Hats must be cheaper.

My apologies. I get it. I only do this type of thing once a year. But in my defense the message by the end of this video is that the best gifts to give don't require you to spend any money.

Great show. Isn’t it funny all the money we spend on nonsense when the best part is the part we make up/ a creation that keeps at reach every time the receiver looks at it. ❤️‍🔥 you inspire me greatly. Keep at it brutha. 🦾🧬
