Or buy a $20 RFID reader/writer & just clone your key fob onto another keyfob, or a RFID card, or both. You could put the card in your wallet & the new keyfob on your jacket or purses zipper. Shoot you can even use a really strong double stick tape & stick one of the rfid cards on your phone case. I think they even have rfid stickers. I bought the more advanced kit that came with 20 key fobs & 20 rfid cards & I can reprogram up to 10 different frequencies. The whole thing cost me $50 I use it for so many more things than most people would think of using it for.
@Donald Mistry I searched lots of videos & this is the one that most people recommended. There are several of these out that all look the same but some of them don’t work right. The ones with the blue screen are the bad ones, & the ones with the red screens are the good ones. It’s also important your read what kind of rfid you are scanning not all key fobs, stickers, & cards are the same kind of rfid. Sometimes the rfid will copy but won’t work because it is encrypted. To get past some of the encrypted ones you take the batteries of the scanner then plug the cord that comes with the kit into your windows laptop & just let the device do its thing it will automatically turn on & your p.c. Will bring up the menu. After that you scan the card you want to copy, then it will run its encryption software to decrypt it. After it does so then grab a blank sticker, keyfob, or card & write the info on that for your copy. They even have sports band bracelet with rfid in them. Anyway I hope that helps you out
Now, now, some things need to be a mystery. 😂 just kidding, I work in security & we use them for several different locks. Sometimes we need to make extra keys for staff

Frank Of All Trades OMG HI!!! Didn’t think you would respond. I just thought that since u said you could break it, you could just get the fob and tape it on the back of the phone! But your way is really neat!
Question: All my key fobs have batteries for power. How does taking the antenna from the fob, gluing it to the outside of the phone case without creating a connection to the phone's power source work. It would seem that you could sick the fob antenna to anything convenient to carry and it would work OR it would have to be connected to some type power source. PLEASE EXPLAIN.
@Triple.threee no I am studying it. So far I identified a MIFARE tool in app store which I think it is not for the 125kHz type of RFID , there must be a way. if I had a NFC standalone device connectable to a PC via USB I think it was easy
Love it, but don't need it right now. Gotta love the phrase: "If you break the antenna inside, there is no coming back from there". Thanks, Frank, for another piece of invaluable advice.
You can repair a broken antenna coil but it is not easy. Its easier to start over and learn from the mistake. But copy the code first just incase.. I spent 3 years trying to figure out our estates door entry system make and model of the controller and once i had that it took me two weeks to decrypt it. Yippeee now 100's of us can now get the fobs for £1.00 instead of the corrupt Council's £25.00 that actually costs less than £0.62p. It is a security door fob so we need to be sensible. I ask for proof of address and dont give any out to people i don't know.
I justify the £0.28p to eventually pay for the programming device. Proxmark3 is a must but don't spend a tun on it, the cheap Chinese versions aroung £45 are just as good.
how about scanning the key fob to a NFC app, which reords the code and is now your virtual key fob??? maybe wasnt available in 2017 but is now, sure beats doing what he did.
Question, when I move out of the apartments, do I just give the leasing office back the electrical tape with the antenna attached or should I burn a dark scented candle over it, let it dry, return it and hope they don't notice???
When you move out you have to give them a fob that is not broken to start. It's funny when people comment when their brains are smaller than a fob. But thank for your 2cents, literally one for the views one for the comment. Keep them coming 😂
@@FrankOfAllTrades Its hilarious when people post videos that have a brain smaller than a fob by instructing folks to break a fob, then turn around and contradict themselves by advising that you have to give back a fob thats not broken when you move out. I will summarize: break the fob, tape it on your phone, when you move out, turn back in a fob thats not broken....jeeeesh. Keep them coming.
you can copy the card frequency using one of the rfid copiers and then write it on a RFID sticker and stick it to where ever you want. this is slick and prettier
You can use crazy glue and baking soda..mix small batch and attache to the the case where the key ring was let it harden then drill a small hole on the new crazy glue/baking soda patch..this combination makes a hard plastic..
My key fob uses a battery and you have to press it to activate it for the lock to open. How does this work without a battery and nothing to press to activate it? Just holding my fob close to the lock does nothing?
After fail with the first fob cuz I cut the wire I programmed a new one, cut it open more carefully and put the coil in my phone case and BAM works for me. Awesome video man. Thanks!!!
Can you use: JB Weld? Silicone? Indoor/outdoor? Is this for ios? If it’s an android can you open it up and fit it inside? How do you get into your apartment? That is for the main door? If it gets really hot either the cell or the sun, does the blue electrical tape peel off/slide around and everything’s fucken sticky? Will wood glue and or caulk work? Indoor or outdoor? I will try it tonight and think of some more questions. Thanks
I have an iPhone also, and the case I have is a rubber case around the sides and back with a plastic cover over it. They are two separate pieces that combine to make up the case. It's a brand called Otter Box. You can remove the plastic case cover and then cut a circle out of the rubber casing and then put the fob there and then cover it back with the plastic case. No bulge, no nothing. You don't even see it.
If you read the phone with a card (RFID/Mifare) you get different IDs every time. I wonder if there is a way to get the same ID (program or clone) whenever I read the phone cause then I could add this ID to the alarm/door system so people would use their phones instead.
My 2017 dodge vehicle key fob was recently hacked, whereby someone was able to remote start it. My keys were in my pocket and i was working about 100 feet away at the time. 2 hours later, I came out of a restaurant and found my vehicle doors unlocked. Somebody has hacked my frequency to unlock/ start my vehicle. Is there any defense against this?
If you live in an apartment building and you have an access code all you have to do is Buzz your number and when your phone rings use a code number to access the building like you would if somebody was visiting you
Or you could clean up the broken tab on the fob and glue the fob to your case. Then you don't have to mess with tape. But I do like your original plan of putting your fob coil into the case. Too bad that didn't work.
Or better yet use RFID stickers. They're tiny little things, much smaller than what's inside that fob, and no need to dissect anything. Cheaper too. Can print on them even.
I did this, but instead of opening and gluing it at the back of phone, i just have a clear case and put the key fob inside. It works pretty well. I have to give back my keyfob to my work so opening it, won’t be good lol
What if you cut a small hole in your phone case, then attach like a little black tinted plastic. Then you could probably put in the inside, and would not look bad at all.
I just crazy glued another key ring to the fob. Was nice to know how to open one and what's inside it tho. If and when the ring breaks off I'll try doing as the video said. 🤓
If you're connecting it to the outside of your phone case like that just leave it in the original thing and glue it on then you don't need to use electrical tape and all the other shit taking it apart like that and having just the coil would be fine if you can put it in between the case of the phone and it would be unseen
I was thinking he has wedding music stored on the phone so that it would play when he wants the door unlocked but he did not activate his phone program to make that work since he is married to that building it seemed to me to be the most logical explanation for the phone usage. This being a No Knock Entry I guess he picked up smarts from his eagerness to tape that round antenna on the phone & forgot all his other secret options one being that if not detected a bucket of water would pour onto the head of the perpetrator and your safety feature could have been soaking wet else feathers fall all over perpetrator before he can get back from the wall sensor. As for the black electrical tape, when it gets warm enough it begins to slide around messing up the phone and cotton fibers from your pocket would stick to the positions surrounding it. SO to avoid a mess get Rustoleum Rubber Coating Spray it is cheaper than Flex Seal Liquid Paint or Spray which solves the problem but you still have a lumpy phone. The easy way is to hang it around your neck in a waterproof sealed container up pour over it which can be any color or clear like your making a collage of photos which is another suggestion, your girlfriend or wife photo on one side it on the other, artwork goes far. Why is there no battery, is it like a business card patch to get past the front gate? Good luck with that mess you created, capture the moment and hang it in a picture frame.

Son.tofos autos que ya no.andan menos de un kilometro .abran open uno mas moderno 2018 2019 con un tenedor no guevada del año.1998 ya no lo usan para gallinero
I took a paperclip curled it a few times with the tip of needle nose pliers then glued that inside the ring hole of my fob so now its steel reinforced :) do it before it breaks to prevent or after it breaks to repair. i used superglue but i think epoxy would be even better
I like the idea, but I would have brushed on some lacquer or polyurethane of a color that would match the phone protective cover.
you can cover the chip with plasti-dip if you have it handy.
I have a phone case that is big enough to fit a battery in it I wonder what I could do with that extra space also would like to sill be able to pay
Worst case just take it off scan and put the case back on
Battery went bad
Gonna come off in the heat and be super sticky on the back of the phone and the coil after a while
I like it when people take things apart to show you what's inside.
The RUclips algorithm can learn that's your preference within a few hours, lol... and you'll be loaded with videos like that so fast.
Yeh like when I pickup backpackers hitchhiking and take them home
Man, ever heard of duct tape? It's a ot easier to take keys out of my pocket than my phone... LOL
