  • CNN political commentators Van Jones and Scott Jennings weigh in on the Supreme Court's ruling that Donald Trump may claim immunity from criminal prosecution for some of the actions he took in the waning days of his presidency in a decision that will likely further delay a trial on the federal election subversion charges pending against him. #CNN #News

Joe Biden committed multiple felonies by having classified docs but Robert Hur said he didn't recommend an indictment because Biden is old and forgetful and too old for a trial. Huh? But he can be in the White House? And the Biden admin just admitted in federal court to altering the transcripts to make Biden look less incompetent. And now they won't release the tapes so they are hiding something very damaging about Biden. Go Trump and FJB and his banana republic regime.

You say most people don't have a clue. I don't like the idea of the president having such broad immunity. But the only ones complaining are democrats. And Trump has not in any way tried to use such immunity - yet. But a past president has, and in the most lethal way... he claimed the right to kill any American citizen who he thought was a threat to the country. Without review. With total immunity. Who was that president? *DO YOU HAVE A CLUE?*
Date Nov. 8,2010: WASHINGTON - The Obama administration today argued before a federal court that it should have unreviewable authority to kill Americans the executive branch has unilaterally determined to pose a threat. Government lawyers made that claim in response to a lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) charging that the administration’s asserted targeted killing authority violates the Constitution and international law. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia heard arguments from both sides today.
“Not only does the administration claim to have sweeping power to target and kill U.S. citizens anywhere in the world, but it makes the extraordinary claim that the court has no role in reviewing that power or the legal standards that apply,” said CCR Staff Attorney Pardiss Kebriaei, who presented arguments in the case.

The reason they didn't bring it until August of 2023 is because that was when it became clear that Trump would run again. They kept it in their pocket as a political tool, and it backfired. No. The Founders wanted to restrain the government. The whole purpose of the government is to protect our inaliable rights. It was meant to be small. Judicial is the weakest of the 3 branches.

If the president commits a crime that isn’t in his official capacity then they can still impeach him. They can pretty much impeach him for anything if they have the votes. Police officers have qualified immunity. It’s their duty to enforce the law. The president is the head of the executive branch which’s duty is to enforce the law. So why tf would a random police officer have immunity but not the president? The president dictates policy to the atf, fbi, cia,NSA, and all the other agencies. If he orders one of those agencies to do something thinking it’s going to save American lives but he ends up being wrong then he shouldn’t go to jail. If he had the potential to go to jail then you would compromise the ability of the federal government to enforce the law and protect Americans. Obviously there’s a line that can be crossed between acting in an official capacity and being a tyrant or abusing your power. In that case house impeaches senate finds guilty and removes. Once that happens then he’s fair game for criminal prosecution by the appropriate courts.

The Supremes "granted" Trump (and all following Presidents) nothing more than what virtually every public official in the U.S. already enjoys: governors, mayors, etc. You are apparently unaware that the Presidency was the sole public position for which this was not clearly established. It's quite simple: Anything that requires the powers of the office is an official act.

Because along came one guy who is unlike anyone in history who actually has caused a mental illness for some people who go crazed and their brains stop working. Then they act on their crazy brain thoughts. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s very real.
Also, the power and money has become too big for mortals. Every one of them in government and media are clawing and lying. Now they think they can make us believe anything. - Take the jab. Joe Biden is fine. Trump caused an insurrection. We must drive electric vehicles. Inflation is getting better. You don’t see that. You didn’t hear that. You don’t know differently. If you ask questions you’re ________ (racist, sexist, communist, perverse, stupid, etc.)
Now we’ve figured some things out. And MORE stuff is coming out every day. (I’m not sure why, but it’s The Age of Exposure.) And these yahoos need a rule for everything because they cannot behave and live with common sense anymore.
That’s why. You and I don’t need a million rules or a dress code or enforced healthcare. That’s why it’s so annoying.
