    I have a project originally built on the discontinued Kohana framework, and I want to migrate it to a new framework. PHP version is 5.6. Would Laravel Homestead or CodeIgniter 3 be viable options for the migration? Or perhaps another one, like Fat-Free, that supports this older PHP version?

      If you still want an answer. Fat-Free. It's very easy to whip up a couple endpoints in a single file for one off stuff like you mentioned.

    Which frame should I learn as a beginner in PHP

    • @Kinsta
      @Kinsta  2 года назад +4

      It really depends on what type of app you need to build, but as a beginner you should usually choose a simpler framework. Frameworks with basic and to-the-point functionalities instead of those packed with features.

      As a beginner I would say Trongate, the learning curve is really not that tough, the documentation is getting better and the code generator can do a lot of the simple things which you can learn from. Depending on what you're trying to do you may not need another framework! And I say that as someone who was laughing at it a few months back!
