Out of context for this video but in your last you mentioned how you recommend ditching lens caps and using uv filters instead. I tried it for the last few days and it literally changed my photography. I’ve taken probably 25% more photos. Who knew a lens cap was subconsciously holding me back. They’re such a pain in the ass!! Thank you!!!!!

As I get older, I too look for great bag solutions. My goal is to be as hands free as possible. I managed to get a minimalist documentary kit into a messenger bag. iPad mini is my go-to for entertainment AND on-the-go photo and video editing. I tend to wear lightweight fishing pants and shirts that can pack down super tight. Plus a 30year old Banana Republic light weight sweater (they sadly don’t make them anymore)…good for brisk evenings, and as a pillow. Really…my ultimate goal is to have both hands free. Cross body bags and pockets…and free hands.

Love hearing this , and yes the iPad mini is so underrated I hope they keep making it.

I always keep my passport in the front pocket of my travel pants. Especially at take off and landing. Wallet in my back pocket. It’s all I need.

I wish I was a back pocket person but I can’t do it for some reason.

Don’t check the bellroy venture sling, as after using it, no other personal bag will be good enough for you👌

Most of my travel is only 2-3 days. I use a Peak Design 45L Travel backpack for the over head. I use either a Peak Design 6L Sling or Wotancraft Daily Sling as my personal bag. I don't travel internationally, so no passport. I can fit most things in my on-body sling.
As far as entertainment/work device, I just pull it out of my travel backpack before I sit down. Not the best, but keeps my travel bags to a minimum.

I have a Peak Design backpack as well but I find myself always wanting my Wotancraft bag so I'm most likely going to sell it but they do make nice bags I have to say.

I travel across EU a lot and very offten they weight the carry on bags. 8kg allowed, so it is very hard to pack the gear. My "personal" was 21l backpack that nobody looks, fully loaded on 13kg, and I kept carryon with weels under 8kg, almost empty. That worked few times, but last time guy weighted both bags and I had few min conversation. He let me go when I said it is full of batteries, that cannot be checked in. I do both corporate photo and video, and share the weight with assistant, but still... would like to see your carry on, and how you keep your camera gear safe?

We typically travel with a full team for larger shoots and we disperse our gear amongst the crew but when we have a small team we always bring an extra lightweight vest or jacket w loads of pockets just in case we need do wear our stuff through. For the most part in Asia they are extremely understanding.

I really enjoyed and actually giggled because I sometimes wonder what people carry while traveling.
Earbuds are a good choice... I use wireless headphones. A bit pain sometimes. Other stuff I carry are:
    1. Papers and documents for the destination,
    2. Lens cleaner
    3. A book about the destination (Last minute homework. Feeling of school days)
    4. Some USD notes. very important. some places don't have other options. For instance, Iran is completely isolated so CC/Debit Card from Europe/America doesn't work. You definitely need some cash. That said, I'm thinking of visiting Iran again soon.
    5. A camera and a lens
    6. few things(like tickets or bank notes things like that) from the trip before (ok I'm not well organized)
    7. Mobile Phone. self explanatory except it's a bill pay and locked so that it is unable to use the local SIM from the destination. But I never bothered because It makes me concentrate on what's happening "around me"
    8. two wallets This is actually important to me to distribute the risks of mugging
    9. USB cables (USB-A , Mini USB, USB-C) and power plug (e.g. adapter ) nightmare
    10. power bank. this is my life
Probably that's it ... I don't use iPads and other mobile techs.
    Thank you for sharing.

I also love the whole wearable macbook bag idea
Someone should make a vest that holds the macbook vertically
The macbook can double as metal plating protection against public stabbings (seriously wtf is happening in new york and australia recently??)
