I share my life with two orphaned wolves and two wolfdogs, one is 61% Arctic wolf and the other a perfect 50% Arctic wolf. Both are hybrids with Malamutes. I love all four of them. Coincidentally, both the orphaned wolves are brothers and both the wolfdogs are brothers but from different generations.
I remember when I was 3 or 4, we visited my grandfather in Arkansas and he had wolves he was breeding. They let me look at them over the fence, but wouldn't let me near them. They were the most beautiful animals I had ever seen, and I have wanted one ever since. Of course everyone told me that wolves make dangerous pets, so now I'm just looking at wolf look alike breeds like northern inuit dogs and berger blanc suisse.
Absolutely gorgeous! They remind me of a couple of the ambassador wolves from the Wolf Conservation Center in New York. Their names are Nakai and Alawa.😊
