My name is Ewan Cunningham, I'm from Falkirk, Scotland. I'm an 18 year old, self taught musician. I started playing drums at the age of 4 and I'm now a multi-instrumentalist playing drums, guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. I've been teaching myself to mix, record, film, edit and produce music since I was 10 years old and this is my passion.
This is a drum cover of "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd from their 1973 album "Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd".

I am a big Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, this has got to be one of my favorites! Their whole first album is loaded with some of their best work. Hope you enjoy my cover :-)

Agreed - Freebird is what LS is known for, but to me "Simple Man" is the quintessential Southern Rock song.

For me the two best Skynyrd tunes are Simple Man and Tuesday's Gone. Skynyrd obviously has a large catalog of great songs but those two are stratospheric to me.
This song was me and my Dads song. He passed on January 22, 2018 from cancer. This song makes me tear up everytime but it means so much to me. Killer Job dude!

I've been playing Simple Man in a Southern rock cover band since 1990, and I have to say that Simple Man has changed a lot since then. I also started with the studio version and today I play more of one of the many live versions. Your cover is drummed so confidently. Hats off. The sound is also excellent. 👍👍🥁🥁

I gotta say drumming is great and the recording sounds amazing i see a couple of shure mics are they sm57 or sm58 and where is the best place to put the mics are there only 2 of them? Trying to mic our drummer and get a great sound as yours

As a fellow drummer i recommend to work on some Candlebox. Great tempo changes and jazz rock. Arrow is mt favorite track to cover by Candlebox.

Jammed with literly hundreds of drummers thru the years, and i have played this song hundreds of times as well and with so many drummers .. And the band i currently play in now does it too... I think that kinda qualifies me too make a fairly accurate & respectful opinion of drummers and drummers playing this song... And with that being said... Absolute Respect to you brother, That was Spot on in my opinion dood... You could sit in Right now today with "Lynyrd Skynyrd" themselves and play it like a fkn pro...
