- uber x versus yellow taxi income comparison. . i have compared recipients from new york city yellow taxi and compared them to income receipts from uber x . this is where i realized uber x drivers earn around half as much as yellow taxi drivers.
Dont forget what ever you make as Taxi driver is not %100 yours because you have to pay the daily or weekly rent of medallion .
True!!.now this guy need to explain how much $ the taxi driver will end it.

Makes no sense why anyone would work for Uber and why any customer would use Uber. I checked out prices for Uber vs Cab and found that my trip for tomorrow will be cheaper using the cab. So not only does the driver make more money, but I pay less for the trip. How can Uber still exist like this?

I've also observed the same fax your reporting they are charging taxi cab rates for only pain Rideshare drivers half of that without any premiums put on any fairs drivers and push from one end of a state to another end of another state without the extra money needed to get back. My opinion drivers need to stop driving for Uber and Lyft and go back to taxis until they bring the incentives needed to drive you and other taxi cab drivers in New York have the power to do this but lack the will to get it done it's sad but it is what it is God bless you. peace

Uber pay's well in NY compare to LA, yesterday a ride from airport to marina del Rey 6 miles ride they pay me $6.79 jajaja, we are in hell.
It’s human nature to try to get the lowest price. Honestly yellow cabs are expensive. That’s why there’s many options. Mta , ytaxi, Uber

2 important things you left out, 1) most Uber drivers use their own vehicle and they don't have to pay rent or monthly car payments. As per yellow cab drivers do pay to use those licensed yellow cars.
2) Yellow taxi drivers don't the same frequency of trips like Uber drivers do.
Not true. Tlc put a cap on new tlc plates almost 2 years ago so most drivers are renting. 2 also not true. I have driven both platforms . The frequency is about the same. You can drop off a yellow taxi fare and have another one standing right there. In uber you have to wait for a trip and go find the rider. That slows it down

Taxi drivers do have to pay the medallion but they still make a lot more then Uber drivers.
Yellow lease 1000 a week and Uber 400 a week there is different too

Excellent video, I agreed but remember who used to be the killer before. To own a medallion before cost about 1 million dollar then they went down to half of million.
Medallions allowed few people to control the workforce Uber allows all of us to be independent contractors what were not paid as independent contractors is the money needed to operate our businesses that is the problem we need to make 25 to 35% more on every fair just to cover our vehicle cost that's the way I see it

Dude, you are only comparing the amount that the driver gets paid, get the amount that the passengers pay uber before the pay to the driver to make a good compare video. Because the yellow taxi is getting that pay. It would be a bigger difference than the one you are showing lol. Either way we are still getting ripped off

How you really make as yellow cab per week? This the key not to compare as this way to let us know the truth. Why , because you pay for rent yellow cab minmum like 600$ per week instead Uber rent car for 300$ weekly that in renting case in finance car Uber driver pay around 245 per week while yellow pay more for medallion plus jerk rider can flee without pay you or in some cases take all your money so that some reasons keep us away from yellow cab
You got to compare it with the Uber receipts with fare details. Because what the taxi driver collects is not 100% profit. They have to pay for the taxi lease.

Ok for real this is what needs to happen if everyone wants uber out ,all uber drivers everywhere needs to just flip over to lyft because think about it no drivers will force the customer to have no choice but to do lyft because no drivers to pick them up however everyone would half to stick to there guns on this one because im sure uber would throw a surge out there to intice drivers to drive but really if every uber driver just flipped all at once no driver no uber simple as that.That would also show lyft not to f with the driver to.
Sorry but no. Lyft is doing the same thing to drivers. If people want change they need to stop driving altogether. That would make a change for the drivers best interest. Good luck!
