Wow, this man does not take a single unnecessary stroke. As someone who does work in garment production, I can really admire the master craft that goes into pieces like this. Truly stunning, the magic he does with his knife, making smooth, even planes in the leather, never marring the suede.
It is interesting to see how the shoes are made, now if only I could see how the ones I bought were made I would be ecstatic. (I bought green Bellevues for my wedding, they were a hit.) :D
Yeah you might want to check out the Fluevog site even though in the video you can see that they've been around longer. As for the sole, these particular shoes have soles that match the colour of the shoe. Fluevogs come in different families and each family has it's own sole design. Seriously check out the site. Dozens of different families from heels to flats to sandals to boots. There is no attempt by John to design anything other that Fluevogs and none of us would want anything else.
Anyone who knows about shoes knows that Fluevog has been around much longer than Louboutin and also the style of and materials for the Fluevog boots and other shoes are really completely different. Louboutin has never designed a swordfish soled cowboy boot with outer-case contrast stitching... so yea. Educate yourself so you don't go around sounding like a clown.
Hello, I am a 27-year-old boy who started working in the field of shoe production in Iran. I am skilled in the production of women's shoes. I am looking for a job abroad. I learned how to produce shoes.
I hope the guys who make the shoes are paid properly for their craft. Some of the equipment shown here is well below standard - not even a proper glue pot., and a spirit burner in a rusty old can! For that level of skill they should at least be able to have a proper workshop.

Almost 100 percent of Americans couldn't make anything that required that level of skill if their lives depended on it.
