This song specifically was made into a hallmark movie and it went platinum 3 times. The girl in the video in the plane with him is his now wife and they just had their first baby boy. He is so special and so talented. I loved him and his voice from the jump and he's got a lot of #1 hits. Follow the list I gave you. ;) He doesn't make a bad song, it just isn't possible.
Scotty is one of my favorite Idol winners! He has some great songs. "Damn Strait" is one to check out
With Scotty what you see is what you get! He's very humble and kind! He has an amazing vocal range! Two of my favorites are "It Matters to Her" and "Your Man". He has a great baritone/bass voice! How you feeling about Country music now? Hello from Texas🤠🤠

@@DewayneGore haha. Thats a good combo. I actually went to highschool with Kam. I still chat with him every now and then. Kam will definitely be force in country music for a long time.
Scotty just had his first child a son they call Avery. He really has grown up in front of us. He has some great music.
You should listen to a lot more of Scotty's stuff. He's awesome. He's married now with new baby boy. I love all his stuff!

Its very much a song that you respect in hindsight. That "Wish I had a pause button" thing is something even at 35 I wish I had, I have lost several people close to me and I wish I could have paused on those moments with those people to cherish it just a little bit longer.

Scotty is now 29 years old ...He beat everyone on Season 10 Idol not only Jimmie Allan cos he was by far the best . Jimmie didnt make it very far into idol that season. Scotty wrote 5 More Minutes in 2015 after the loss of his Granpa but wasnt released til much later . 2 Hallmark Movies have been made using the song title He was recently awarded a 3 X Platinum RIAA certification for the song. Great achievement to go along with all his other platinum and Gold. .Scotty is a tremendous talent ,concerts are fantastic ..an all around awesome young man .

Need to react to It Matters to Her.....He married his high school sweetheart which he had known all his life. There were pics of her in this video. the song I just suggested is when his wife is pregnant. Great song and video.
There are a few songs out there that make me grab for a tissue every time. This is one. It came out shortly after I lost my dad and do this day I still wish for 5 more minutes.

I know I'm late to this, but "five more minutes" was a family joke in our house. You see, my twin sister was born five minutes after me and so my parents always said that when the time came for her to be born, she said "gimme five more minutes, Mom!" From there, it just became a thing for us. Every time we had to go somewhere, my sister would ask for five more minutes. We were 49 when cancer took her and there hasn't been a day that I haven't longed to hear her say 'just give me five more minutes." This song touches a still raw nerve in me.

Jimmie actually didn’t even make top 24, which was insane. Scotty and Lauren Alaina both ended up competing in the season finale. Both 16 years old, both extremely talented country vocalists. One of my favorite seasons of American Idol. Lauren has some really good inspiring songs too… personally, I love “The Other Side”. She wrote it about her stepdad, who passed from cancer a few years back. She and Scotty also did a live cover of “When You Say Nothing At All” on the American Idol 20 year anniversary special, which they originally performed when they were contestants. Their growth is crazy!!

Lauren Alaina “like my mother does” was the runner up behind Scotty on American Idol and I believe she was 15 or 16 at the time. Her song is soooo beautiful.

So glad I found you just a little while back. I really enjoy people discovering and appreciating good music from all genres. I remember a comment you made about wanting to hear funny could try songs. Ray Stevens has a ton of them .I recommend "The Streak" and " Mississippi Squirrel Revival". Johnny Cash has a few as well, a boy Named Sue and One Piece at a time are great songs. Keep bringing the reactions you do a great job.

I understand your feeling about talent shows, but dude there are so many phenomenal artists like Scott, Angelina Jordan, Chapel Hart and Sawyer Fredericks! That I have to watch those shows now! Because you never know what amazing talent they will discover, Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson 😊

Check out PLUSH Left Behind! The singer Moriah Formica was on the Voice at 16 and was the youngest 4 chair turn. She is a once in a generation talent who is a combination of Ann Wilson, Amy Lee and lzzy Hale.

I saw Scotty's audition and said he'd be the next American Idol. Didn't have to see any other auditions that season. And I don't even like Country. haha I've done that 3 times now.
Letters from Home by John Michael Montgomery is a great one to listen to
Known as "Scotty" not Scott (or Scoot) as his wife Gabi calls him. And he was 17 when he won Idol (16 when he auditioned). Five More Minutes came out more like when he was 20 or 21, he's now 29.
