Thank you for this video. At the beginning of the video, when I saw the color of the sky I thought to myself :" No, he didn't left lake Bala to find some sunshine...!"🙂
Mate you've forgotten about the summer of '22 already. You're giving the impression that the sun does not shine in our green-and-pleasant-land. Well every decade it does as '22 reminded us.
@@SailingWithDave An eight or nine foot telescopic rod with small fixed spool reel would pack away easy. Just use a single lure or feather and you'd have great sport with the Mackerel and keep a couple for a cook up on the beach later.
Hi Dave can you remember what the battery capacity was after the 3 hours. I have an epropulsion, good on lakes but not a lot of use on rivers or against a tide.
On this boat I had no way of knowing the battery level. But I have an ePropulsion, if you search the channel for it you'll find lots of videos. Its a tad underpowered on the Lugger, not getting her to hull speed even on a placid lake, but fine for a day pottering about on Bala. I would never use it on the sea unless it was just for getting onto or off a mooring say. On the Mirror DInghy it was brilliant though. You could rattle about at hull speed all day. Also check out the video when I used it on the River Dee with the Seahopper.

Haha, well there's not much sunshine in this one eitehr, but the weather was quite good for the boat day!
Brilliant video Dave, that boat is very practical for the British weather. I haven't been to windermere since I was a kid, bought memories back
Yes I know, it was brilliant having the canopy and the sides at the back. I was originally worried about the weather, but had no need to!
brings back alot of memories , see my email , great vid
The lakes are great. FIrst time on Windermere for many years!
What a very Happy Boat Trip, Dave !!!!
Yes cold, wet and grey but it doesn't matter if you're on the water!
@SailingWithDave I agree, totally...
Hi dave, like your philosophy about children on camara. Nice one
Definitely agree, cheers Paul. I work in data and you have to be so careful where you're footprint is left.

Ahh yes the summer of '22 I remember that. I have a good feeling about '25 you know. We must be due a good one!!
@@SailingWithDave Just one that is a bit less duck friendly will do me.
Nice little day boat for pottering about on the lake. I can't help but think you should have taken a fishing rod - some nice Charr in Windermere.
Haha! I still have to buy one, I think i'll have more time when i'm waiting for tides around Angelsey...Mackeral?

I use mine on the estuary at Arnside. Copes with the current and tide once the main bore has passed.
