    My son was an ARBA champion rabbit raiser and showman. He raised almost all of the breeds accepted under the ARBA standard. We bought feed from a specialty feed company out of Idaho. We bought 10-15 toms on a regular basis. 18 wheeler just backed into the yard and unloaded on a garage that was built for protecting rabbits from psycho neighbors.
    All rabbits that failed to be showable were processed for meat and sold to private individuals as well as retail grocery stores.

      @@KatieLeann Yeah while I was out of town neighbors and others killed several prize rabbits. I built a garage and made sure it wouldn't happen again. My son took a hit but came back stronger winning against youth and adult competitors. He became a registrar and would have been a great judge but basketball and college took him away His sibling showed a few times but never grasped the same love for the animals.

    I know you're getting a lot of negative comments on the housing of your rabbits, but it's better than others I've seen. I personally give mine more space but I'm not doing it for money, just for personal use. And you're dealing with obstacles others aren't, they should keep that in mind. I appreciate the how to, gave me some great ideas.

    I’ve had pet rabbits and if you treat them gently rather than like a sack of potatoes they will be tame. I understand that you’re going to kill them for meat but surely you can be kind and gentle and give them bedding so they’re comfortable and live the best life possible 😕

    • @honestlynate7922
      @honestlynate7922 Год назад +5

      It's unsanitary to supply bedding. It's more important that the animal is raised to harvestable weight with out any exposure to its own feces and urine or any pathogens associated. The most important thing at the end of the day is a healthy meat product to feed ourselves and our family. The animal is not in any distress.
