Time for a casual review of the Pterodactyl Ptark!
This 4-man, 500 influence base is located in Southeastern Trumbull Valley and serves as the most accessible base upgrade from the awful Checkpoint Delta.
With 1 large facility and 5 small, there's quite a bit of room to build comparable to many 5-man bases.
But how good is it ultimately?

That's the name of the base apparently.
I love it because it’s pretty close to the middle and it’s a good size for only needing 500 influence and 4 survivors
I just realized watching this that one can roll with 3 crafting stills comfortably or 4 crafting stills uncomfortably (no workshop). That is actually really amazing for such a low barrier base. Now I'm excited to try that out in my next playthrough. Great video as always Fox 👍 Always nice picking up new ideas even after playing so much of this game.
You'd need a ton of food though. Pretty doable below Nightmare I'd wager.
I love this base as far as mid-game bases go. Just spent a week there and it was fun. I took your suggestion from the Delta video and took over the Landmark first and that was the right decision. In fact, if you take the Landmark first you could just stay in Delta and finish the map within a couple of days. So as bad as Delta is if you combine it with the Landmark you could finish this map from the starting base and with only 1 outpost. That's how powerful the Landmark can be in the beginning. And that's on Nightmare.
That Landmark is either the best in the game, or it's meh if you have a biochem station. If you don't have a biochem? It will win the game for you.

@@GitGudFox The first time around I completely skipped that Landmark and it was the only one out of all the maps that I didn't think was worth it. But after your video and trying it myself I now have over 1000 Plague Samples from using the 3rd strategy option since I now have a BioChem Station. Add that to the +11 meds per day from my base and another 3 rucksacks per day from the Trade Depot...I'm cranking out 5+ BPC per day. I'm at the Farm and even with all Plague Hearts destroyed I'm still making over 5000 Influence per day with the BPC, Strong Pain Killers and Beer. It's a nice cycle that makes a lot of cash. Thanks again for everything you do. Much appreciated.

Hey Fox. I think i have the perfect community now. 3x meal plan, 3x reads instructions, 3x tough negotiations. I am rolling all 4 legacies in a row. Currently on #2 with zero boons. You can roll whitney field to whitney field. Turns out when you continue community the days keep rolling on. Figure I will do 100 days, 4 legacies with 0 boons. This is my first time playing lethal. Couldnt have done it without you. Cheers fox

Hey gg fox, I took your advice on recruiting people for tough negotiations and found an entrepreneur but he had 5th skill business abs he ended up with a hero bonus called sharpening regiment, which the bisiness still gives him 10% influence gained anyway,
It'll still get the job done. Let me know how it does.

@@GitGudFox just want you to know fox im grateful on informations and today i play new community made it in that base and man i was swarmed by zombies it lags the game and 1 of my character got cornered by juggernaut HAHAHA wtf im not gonna settle down there again.

I lost 4 people on this base. Get rekt by 2 juggernaut, 3 feral and hiding screamer. Lol
A quick tip for defending the base is to not be at it. Combat stops when you get far enough away from the base.
So I was obssessed with State of decay 2 for about 2 weeks but I finished everything the game has the offer. Im sad now. I want a 3rd one
Sustainability has always been the weakness of SoD. It doesn't take that long to accomplish everything.
i hope im still alive when the 3rd 1 comes out and i miss fox
