What does it mean by type A questions and type B questions ?

Type A: Focuses on locating specific information quickly. (true, false, NG --> Fill in the blanks (sentence completion) --> MCQ)
Type B: Requires a deeper understanding and comprehension of the text. (List of Headings etc)
