First of all, Banksy is great, and I fully approve of his art and its meaning, intention and his ideology of giving his work freely, but I wish I knew more about how his art actually benefits the people the art intends to fight for. I'm sure a lot of his art which has been sold has gone into the pockets of someone who really doesn't need it, and surely not someone which the artwork was in tented to highlight/benefit. Its kind of tricky, and in NO WAY a criticism of Banksy, as his art does massively benefit the intended subject (maybe not via primary financing). And I'm pretty sure Banksy is probably extremely wealthy, certainly comfortable, so it's hard to take some of his artwork fully at its worth based on that. But let me say, again, Banksy's ideology is genius and can only be commended. His art really is true, true art and nothing, NOTHING (especially a mere RUclips comment) , can take that away from him. I just struggle to see how his art style can, primarily, do anything more than line pockets of people who don't need it. Yes, the message gets out massively, but the weak, vulnerable and desperate really could do with the financial benefits. Maybe there is something to be said for for the owners of the canvases, in regards this... but if Banksy means what he means, surely he should consider the financial aspect for the people he's highlighting.

The kissing police picture was also vandalised, and restored by a guy named Bez. ...don't believe me? Go to the actual pub, it's called the Prince Albert. On Trafalgar street, in Brighton. I'm from there. So the painting that was sold, it's not the original.

Never really given any mind to street graffiti "artists" but for some reason when I read the name *Banksy* I was like "That's that graffiti artist" and then "wait, how did I know that?"
Makes a video about an artist who's against consumerism...
"Wanna know what it takes to be the next hit artist?! Head over to skillshare today!"
I was born in Brighton. Was not expecting to see this on here haha
eyyyyyyyyyyyyy infographic show love this channel we are learning with this
4:57 I actually have a picture of that guy throwing flowers on my wall.
*Paints smiley face on wall*
Do you want this very artistic thing for 1.9 million dollars? It’s one of a kind and original!
Funny how art enthusiasts are suddenly ok with stealing art. It tickles me.
Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead featured in this video made me smile because im fan of those 3
Nice video. Nice project
Banksy is so awesome. I just love his artwork.
I feel like Robbo played a big part in Banksy’s Graffiti Career🤨
He should paint on his own house so he can make money
Maybe he does
The jager bomber yeah haha how do we know?
The government let's take his house down and not give him money
Lol like boondocks
Thanks, infographics show I have to do this for a school exhibition.
Love all his art. Incredibly amazing
The picture of kissing police was dismantled by a company called "pictures off walls" or PoW. Banksy has a company called Pictures on Walls.
The kissing police picture was also vandalised, and restored by a guy named Bez. ...don't believe me? Go to the actual pub, it's called the Prince Albert. On Trafalgar street, in Brighton. I'm from there.
So the painting that was sold, it's not the original.
i would have washed the walls of this crap. anyone who graffiti should have his hands broken. all these "artists" have turned my city into a dump with their tags and "art"
@@CoolGobyFish what city cause some graffiti is nice and looks nice but not the ones that offend religeon countries or the football team I support
Through being one half of Massive Attack
0:19 ikr, how can there be anyone that has never heard of this guy Banksy
*so ironic*
They remind me a lot of Basquiat when he first started his art
Thanks for posting.
Street Art ist STREET Art!!! Nobody should remove it to sell
Because he’s a kool kid 🧒
Because he's a kool-aid
a fine block he’s got kool-aids?
lol banksy is wack
Ironic that Banksy's art has become the very thing his pieces criticise.
This is the best report on Banksy , thank you
Amazing and raw work. It would be so lucky to have one and so hard to let it go, but yes, perfect gift for someone in need.
Sounds weird, we don’t know pretty much anything about him, yet he sounds like such a nice guy 😂 he portrays his beliefs, which are generally quite ethical, doesn’t ask for popularity, allows others to get money off of his work (in the case of the New York paintings), and gives to charity. There are so many selfish artists in the world and Banksy definitely isn’t one of them
I remember Casey Neistat did this to Apple. That went viral
What did he do ?
He draws money on paper and cut it out, people can't tell the difference between that and real money
They'd pretend not to and sell it themselves
It was a stencil print actually, instead of the queen it had princess diana on them
Muy chévere la infografía animada
I'll never understand art. It's just about rich people wanting to throw money away.
He was paint for give a msg to society..
But..
Society took his msg for sell
Bruh I laughed so hard when he shredded the painting he did through the frame 😂😂 I saw it on his instagram
He makes money by being Robert Del Naja from Massive Attack in his spare time (allegedly)...
Heard the same thing. Makes sense. Bristol narrows it down and he obviously has the cash and the time and isn’t arsed if his work fetches six or seven figures 🤣😂 The midlife crisis of Robert Del Naja 🙃
he was obviously in on the auction shredding thing, Banksy is as revolutionary as that Pepsi ad
Poor guy, everyone disrespects him for the sake of looking “fancy “
