I'm french and I remember this anime, it was aired on the 18 channel along with other anime from the 80s and 90s during the club dorothe era. When I was a kid, "Les mystérieuses cités d'or" were my obsession. I was fascinated by everything, I had an orange dress that I modified to look like Zia's dress, and I was reading things about Mayas and stuffs, I was really passionated. I did a medaillion with carboard too. Like i cut a round shaped piece of cardboard, then I drew the crescent part with another piece of cardboard that I glued to the round shaped one, and I drew the sun part on another smaller round piece (still cardboard). The two parts were remobable since i put some velcro. The only bad thing was that when you removed the sun part there was still the card board piece from the big original round, since it was were the sun part was hanging. I tried to make another one with cardboard and sticks but it never worked.

I loved this show, we had just come from El Salvador it was a home away from home
